LOCK THIS PLEASE

hey, lay off him. Those cones are a pain in the fanny, and the thought of clipping them always hurts my lap times a bit. Not everyone here is a hardcore veteran from GT1, some people(myself included) are comfortable with the easiness of GT6.

Dang.

While I get that, starting a thread with a temper isn't a good idea. I know the cones can be a pain (I made multiple attempts myself trying to put in a clean lap), but I also am aware that I don't necessarily need gold to make it (I choose to pursue it because that's tends to be my trophy), just a clean lap good for bronze and I'm done. He's making it out to be a simply unattainable task. His post just comes off as someone being spoiled and thus people responded the way they did, I'm not saying he deserved them but his attitude at the time of that post wasn't at all necessary.

The lap isnt even all that hard, its just long being 2.20 on silverstone.

Brands Hatch is piss easy.

How did you get your Super license?

i am busting my guts last night trying to get gold.. down by 0.2 of a second...IT ISN'T HARD. And you didn't need to come out like PD wanted you to do the lap in an X2011 with tank cars blocking the racing line either.
Just drive a slow, clean lap. Or just keep using a TS030 in A spec, its quicker anyways.

And neither was the one's who belittled him. Just because his attitude came off as a little off-putting does not make it right for others to pile on with the abusive or overly aggressive posts. Simply help the guy by giving advice or words of encouragement or just ignore him if you have nothing constructive to say, easy as that.

I acknowledged this though so again, I'm not saying he deserved the responses he got. I'm just saying he shouldn't have posted with his frustration still fresh on his mind, its the responsibility of others to not respond so rudely but its also best that you don't put yourself in a position that'll bring that sort of attention to you.

At the end of the day, all I'm advocating is chill out.

Fair enough. 👍

I did indeed, my mistake.

Overall, I was just saying the means to attain the car without paying is very simple and yet in his frustraition with not being able to get a clean time, he makes it out to be a impossible task and blames PD.
No worries. :) And I agree. He should either practice more or wait for the GTA rounds to end to unlock the car for purchase, rather than blame PD. I say waiting will be the best option for him.

@GTP_CargoRatt He has belittled himself with his attitude and his statements. That probably has some thing to do with his belittling responses. On the other other hand, he could have constructed a better OP and approached the situation differently. :)

And like I said, so should have you and the others that choose to try and belittle him. His OP is not an excuse for the belittling behavior from people in this thread. If you believe it is, then you are just as immature as his OP.

The only '🤬' penalty I have come across in the GT Academy so far is that I have had my time invalidated at Spa at Eau Rouge despite having two wheels on the track. The rest of the penalties I have been given have been completely justified. As for getting bronze in rounds 1 and 2, not difficult at all.

hsv
...What happened to attitudes to succeeding, in general? These threads make me sad. All they say about you is you literally can't be bothered and want prizes on a silver platter. Before long, people will be wanting the game to automatically Platinum itself as soon as you insert the disc.

Well, to be fair, it probably won't be long until you receive a trophy for simply putting the disk in the console. :P

If you can't achieve bronze because you're hitting the cones you're probably driving too fast.

Just slow down and take your time through the corners and you should have no problem getting bronze on these.

I like the fact you have to earn the LMP cars. Similar to how you have to earn the LaFerrari in DRIVECLUB. Considering CR. are super easy to earn in GT6, I'd rather they make it you have to earn these cars. I mean, you are getting them for free after all.

Yeah, its the fact that PD now being generous at having a reward on BRONZE.

Last year was a gold requirement, which you have to be thankful for now.

I know, and to get the car you just have to FINISH 1 LAP. 1 lap, that is what, less than 3 minutes at Spa for an LMP2 car?

Probably 2:30 for the average GT Player? 2:20 even?

Still, the car is handed to you pretty much free if you complete a single lap. I really wish that you could only get the car if you could get gold.

EDIT: @Whitetail above summed it up pretty much perfectly.

Although I had a post that had just that. My 3rd post to @RACECAR was deleted. How come?

This isn't meant to be a belittling comment to the OP but you sound like you're tilting.

Stop driving it for a bit, watch some replays and/or take (roughly) the same car and use it in B-Spec to watch how the Bob's drive the track.

Rage quitting from what sounds like over driving isn't the way to go. Play it safe with your racing line instead of going for broke on the first stint. You'll have bronze in no time at all if you calm down.

Woah, this thread exploded. :scared: ( note to self: check GTPlanet more often)
I was a little bit frustrated at the event, but what I meant was that they should put new cars in the dealership, like when they added the Toyota LMP. I know some of you might say "yeah but you have to earn them in the event!" Or "they'll be added after the event!" But for new players that might have just gotten enough credits to buy a race car and thy see on a news site like GTP that there is a new LMP cr and they're like "woo hop! I'm gonna buy that car and I'll be cool!" (Hypothetical) and then is not there, (we'll assume this player Is somewhat new to video games) they might think that it's fake. (This post probably doesn't make sense now so I'm going to stop. :gtpflag:

I see nothing wrong with putting the car in the dealership if one "doesn't want" to do the GTA event. Why must he or she be forced to do a particular event for one car they want without having to do said event just to obtain it.

So. Instead of PD waiting for the GTA Rounds to end, put the car that's unlocked in the dealership for everybody else to purchase, simple. Also, some people really need to stop mistreating others who aren't at their level...
It's an incentive to participate. You get them in the dealer at the end of GTA.

Well, if he can't drive a clean lap in round 1, with a GT-R, what's he going to do with an LMP2, besides crash?
He was angry at the game and vented with a thread. Probably has the car already.

No, it doesn't.
Am I correct in my guess that you already have the car?

I think that dont put the car in the dealership so it makes the car 'special'... you cant buy multiple copies etc. etc.

They may in the future when the competition is over but thing is, I can well understand the Bugatti on Ascari on the Super License, that was hell but Silverstone requires very little actual skill to get a 3rd. You just need to drive carefully and mind your corner speeds.

If you're hitting cones there's something wrong with you... they're on the INSIDE of a corner, so you have fundamental problems placing the nose of the car. The most you just suffer is understeer going wide into corners and there are very few corners that are actually troublesome in Silverstone. Now Ascari... that bastard and a half I can fully appreciate rage quits.

How would they think its fake if said news site specifically has information on how to get it?

As mentioned, the Zytek can only be attained at the moment via a complete timed lap (doesn't even have to be good enough for bronze) and its done, which makes competing an incentive and the fact that unlike getting from the dealership. you get it for free. The Toyota was only thrown in as surprise free DLC (along with the Lexus) so the specific reasons for inclusion aren't the same.

So I see that the LMP2 car is unlocked, right? NOPE. It's unfair to people like me who cannot complete the first round because of the 🤬 penalties! They could at least put it in the dealership for everyone!
As much as I dislike penalties, Polyphony Digital did what they did for a reason.
