Sebastian Loeb, seems to be going for the 8th championship win.

Somehow I do not have the impression we will get a 5000000 Cr. event and a free car for this like we did for Vettle's second win.

Would be nice though. But PD and Sony own us nothing on this.

We probably would be if Loeb helped design a radically extreme rally car for the game....

We got the X2010 because PD and RB have a partnership...

Exactly. All we need is Loeb to sleep with Kaz so we can get a new "partnership".

GT by Citroen Rally car would be fun :D

Wow! That's a great idea! A GT by Citroen Red Bull Rally Car would be sick! They could release that to commemorate Loeb's 8th...

Or just release the DS3 WRC.

I'm confused, this post seems to be answering complaints before they even exist, or are likely to?

I'd love this, come on PD I'll give you any amount of money for it. (If I can have Ogiers too).

Combine with Fiesta WRC, add the Mini Countryman... PD has WRC license remember as well.

You got the point, not a complaint thread.
Just seems logical to me, both seem to have a special event in GT5, their sponsor is heavily involved, the constructor of the car is heavily involved, etc...

Good opportunity for some more marketing.

One point against it, the chances that Vettel did not become worldchampion, were about 0 when it was announced. Loeb can still loose!

P.S.: Good time to add the DS3 rally car

I'm not sure they do since the latest WRC cars are early 2008 (Citroen livery changed after a few rounds) since then there have been 2 full WRC licenced games.

btw I'd love a small update to the 2008 cars to change the name on the window and number so I could have Latvala's car as well as/instead of Hirvonen's, not a big update but would be a nice touch.

Ok I get it now. But yeah, I don't see it. The WRC license and rally is massively underused in the game, many wouldn't even know it exists without the special events.

If only RBR made their own version of this:tup:

OR
they could include this:

Maybe that's the reason why? If Loeb gets into a situation where he almost can't lose, maybe then Kaz will announce something like: "If Loeb becomes WRC world champion, everyone gets a free DS3 road car and rally car and a special event to use them in!"

If not the DS3, a Stealth or Chromeline C4 would be cool, too.

That car + Pikes Peak would be awesome. Always loved driving those monster hill climb cars up there in the original Dirt, even with the suspect physics it was tons of fun.

I'm not sure about you guys but I'm not really into rallying in GT5. I have no problem with a Leob event but I'm not too keen on PD spending time modelling new rally cars.

Rally cars are amazing on tracks.

Same could be said for Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart who are going into the final race of the NASCAR season with only three points separating the two of them (and they've raced neck and neck for the past two races).

The irony is that Loeb, Edwards and Stewart all have their actual cars included in the game, whereas Vettel only had the X1/2010.

But isn't NASCAR only in America? So only Americans like that sport, where as F1 and WRC is across the globe and loved by millions?

I'd say NASCAR is bigger than WRC overall.

If you consider reach, of course WRC beats NASCAR, but if you account for the audience each get, I dunno if that's still the case.

Now when you calculate the net worth of each brand and their annual income, I'd be willing to bet NASCAR is a bigger brand than WRC.

Well wakeup, the current Suzuki is still faster than that Hyundai :)

I'm not looking for an argument but I just think if you was to ask 100 people if they would rather see WRC or NASCAR, I think the majority would say WRC as it travels all around the world giving the opportunity to everyone to see it,
where as NASCAR is restricted to just America, but I understand you host those events in massive arenas that get packed out with hundreds of thousands of people

I don't mean this disrespectfully but WRC has a variety of different cars and classes, where as everyone in NASCAR has pretty much the same car with a different badge on the front

And I agree, I don't like NASCAR as much as WRC, for an example. The opinion I stated was in regard to how big they are, not how good they are.

WRC is so much cooler, has so much more diversity than any form of motor sport, it's even hard to compare...
