Login bonus reset randomly

You realise the login bonus has nothing to do with your save? If something goes wrong your save file wont restore log in bonus.

Save stores last login date and current bonus level. I've decoded GT5 save and GT6 save and i know what i'm talking about.

Your assumption that save has nothing to do with login bonus, and messing with 2 consoles only proves that you sometimes do something wrong. If you transfer save from one console to another then don't be surprised when your bonus going down or reset.

Sorry to say this, but it's BS. You simply didn't save in the right time, or restored old save, or because manipulating Time or Time Zone in a wrong way. I NEVER encountered this problem. Why? Because i manually save upon every exit from the game. I'm sure, if i would sit near you, i would point on thing you do wrong. Analyze your actions and you will find the cause of this problem.

The only problem why it happens is lack of automatic save in GT6 after bonus elevating. All bonus losts are around this. No other evidence were presented. Only "Ahhhh.. i've lost the bonus" screams of careless players.

If that the case then why does the login bonus not carry over when you transfer your save to another console? If it the save file determined your login bonus you should still have the same login bonus that you saved it with. You don't. Your save file doesn't determine your login bonus. Its been like that since GT5.

Secondly why exactly is playing GT6 on two consoles or more "messing around"? Do you have a disability?
Thats one of the points of being able to transfer your save file to USB, to be able to transfer your save files between playstations. You know, kind of like these ancient devices called "memory cards" used to work.

Thankfully I don't have to carry a whole one and only playstation around whenever I want to play my GT6 save.

For the record yes I do think login bonus should be determined by the save file, but it isn't. Thats why I ignore login bonus because its continually reset for me.

I'm not sure about the stepping backwards, I suppose it could be the way you think it should but that would not be my assumption given that the bonus is for consecutive logins. I would assume that if you missed one day then it would reset to 1 and increment from there each day you login until you miss another day and cause it to reset again

I feel a bit sorry for them where the login-bonus doesn´t work correct.
I log into PSN first and after that I start the game and I never had a "glitch"/broken bonus in GT5 and now in GT6

I missed a day on Friday, and it only took me back one step to 170%. I haven't had any problems with the login bonus so far.

The only one who has disability here is you. Mental disability. Read history of my posts in GT6 and GT5 forums to understand who you teach about memory cards.
You need to grow up to know how to argue. Put your 2 days old save and you will see pop-up notice about increased bonus with -1 step. Then put 1 day old save and u will get pop-up about present bonus level. Put today's save and u won't get any popup. Repeat it 100 times to understand it and stop to post BS.

How the heck is this our fault? It is another simple feature that PD fails to implement properly.

This is PDI fault. GT5 saves after each bonus increase because it gives paints making changes into database. GT6 doesn't give any items upon login and thus doesn't trigger save command. Until PDI fix this, you have to save manually and in correct manner.

Conversation above shows that not all people understand how login bonus saved. That leads to different ways of how this bonus can be lost.

For me, neither GT5 nor GT6 loose any bonuses (i mean non-controlled loose) although i have 5 PS3 (from first version to latest) and transfer saves between them.

OK, do you do anything else other than logging in, saving, and quitting?
I'm on day #10 with 200% bonus so it's obviously not a global issue.

Did I not ask you a question that could help others figure out what else needs to be done?
Let me make it easier for you to understand.

I start the game.
I get the bonus.
I manually save.
I do a few races.
I tune some cars.
I manually save again.
I have not had any issues in 10 days.
I'm obviously doing something right.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING DIFFERENTLY?

You and some other people have an issue with this, the rest of us are not having this issue at all. The CLEAR implication is therefore it is most likely to be user error.

Because PD can do no wrong correct? It's always the users fault.

I think the difference may be that it works for those that perform an action like racing. It may not work for those that simply log-in, start the game, save the game manually and exit the game. If someone takes the time to boot up and log-in they should get the bonus.

Or once again I say they should do away with the silly bonus and give everyone the same amount. The log-in bonus only serves to punish those with careers, families, friends, illnesses and other activities. We all paid the same amount for the game so why does it not pay everyone equally?

I have one account that I play every day. That works fine with log on bonus.

I then have four other accounts that I load the game, get the bonus, save and quit, as I only play them occasionally. They all work correctly as well.

So it DOES work correctly both ways.

If it was PD's fault it would go wrong for ALL of us. Not just SOME of us.

So again, are YOU forgetting to save?

Do You really think a feature that is helpful to the rest of us should be done away with because YOU forget to save or don't log on?

You're out of line. My words were much more polite but like it or not it is true. I actually don't have a life and my main concern is keeping my friends who have families and crazy work schedules interested in playing the game. Punishing them because they have a holiday, sick child or 7 day work schedule is a slap in the face because they paid for the game just like us. The incentive is very selfish of PD. How would it hurt you if everyone got payed 200%? I can answer that myself. It wouldn't hurt you so why are you defending the bonus and PD?

It really sucks logging into 5 accounts everyday doesn't it? I know it sucked for only 2 accounts. Wouldn't you rather everyone get 200% without all the trouble? Don't you have friends that can't log in everyday or that like to play other games? If they play other games they have to swap disks which means wear and tear on the disk and player.

If people are desperate enough to just log to keep their bonuses up that mean money is too hard to get in the game. Think about it for a minute.

The bonus is a selfish feature PD implemented because they want to control your gaming experience. Seasonal racing is another form of control. It is the only way you can make decent money in the game. Once the servers are shut down you get neither.

What trouble? It takes minutes with the digital version. A log on bonus is a bonus for logging on. No one who doesn't log on deserves to get that if they don't fulfill the criteria. That's a nice big first world problem right there.

Are there enough events to allow money earning to be done with repetition? No. They should fix that - but no way should they remove a feature just because some people don't use it.

Well I have two accounts on my ps3. One of them I logged into everyday and it has been at 200% now for several days. The other I logged in enough to get to 200% then did not log in for a couple of days. Logged in again and it said 150% then the next day 170% so it seems to be working exactly as it should for me.

My girlfriend has even taken to remind me to at least login and run a time trial or something... Finished Super GT300 last night and got the Jeff Gordon NASCAR gift car, we both sat here and watched it save, then today it bumps me back to stage 3... Checked my garage and gift car is there, so must've saved properly... I have no idea at this point wtf they're trying to accomplish, but if they want me to log in everyday and have a go at something then fix it, otherwise I'll be forced to ignore it as rubbish and get on when I damn well feel like it!!
