On pc with pc only wheelbase model.I think this is more a GT7/Playstion issue, because the same thing happens with my Fanatec GT DD Extreme.
My DD Extreme does it all the time, on PS5, PC and XBOXOn pc with pc only wheelbase model.
It's not - I've never had that issue on my Simucube. My DD Extreme does it all the time, on PS5, PC and XBOX
I'm beginning to think it might just be a trait of DD wheel bases?
Not much effort to find people complaining about their simucube oscillations issues on straights and when idle. It's not - I've never had that issue on my Simucube.
After 2 years this would be realy disappointing. Atleast i expect a lcd on a F1 wheel and rev lights on the rim150% missed opportunity. Especially with the drivehub, the wait time now is just translating to lost revenue. I finally caved on waiting and added a Thrustmaster TH8A to my rig and couldn’t be happier.
I see myself doing the same thing when this wheel gets released. Been waiting a long time and looks like others are gonna start making it to market.
Good evening, new to the site and just wanted to mention as others have that I am also experiencing the nibble like wheel pulsations in game menus as well as in car while sitting parked(tested in acc and pc2). As someone brought up earlier in this forum and by rich on my reddit post turning dampener settings to 0 and then moving the wheel around does stop the pulsation,as a side note leaving the wheel static after adjusting dampener off the tick persists, only after moving the wheel does it stop. For those not aware there is a subreddit dedicated to the logitech gpro wheel where I have posted about this.
Mainly posting for visibility for others that are experiencing this issue and in the hopes that its visibility causes logitech to address the issue.
And? I commented on the vibrating/pulsating feel on the wheel rim that particularly Fanatec (and some Logitech) users complain about. Fanatec says it's caused by using the dampener setting, so it's interesting that Logitech seemingly have a similar issue. Not much effort to find people complaining about their simucube oscillations issues on straights and when idle.

Be good to hear how they get on, if there's no firmware/game software fix I might need to look at a repair.Maybe it's just me, but I found it difficult to deal with spending close to £1000 wheel and having that twitching and/or not using dampening.
Credit to Logitech, I raised a ticket and although they were slow at replying they did arrange a return/repair under the warranty without any qualms. It's currently on it's way back to them, I've included some details in a note with the wheelbase so I'm hoping they will be able to replicate it and identify the issue.
Im interested as well. I'd like to not believe this is present in all units but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage of people don't even bother adjusting anything other then gain leaving dampener at 0 or notice its even happening kind of like how people dont notice the engine overheating in there car despite the warning lights and smoke billowing from the hood. Its not a crippling issue, but my initial impression when i first noticed it was that it was some kind of power regulation fault on a hardware level in the motor control circuit as opposed to a software issue. Im hoping a software fix is in work but I remain a skeptic.Be good to hear how they get on, if there's no firmware/game software fix I might need to look at a repair.
Xbox version here, ACC dampener off solved it, haven't noticed in other games I don't think. Could maybe try it on laptop if it also does it in regular AC?
I work from an old screenshot where they certainly aren't 0, although on the website now they aren't 0 either unless there's a new place they display that? https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/8358055253271-In-Game-Settings-for-Pro-WheelsAs a side note I've noticed the in game recommended settings for numerous games on logitechs website all list setting the dampener to 0, i could have sworn this was not the case when I was browsing through it last month
The setting listed in the columns are recommended settings for the wheelbase at the hardware level, if you click on the screenshots to the right it will display settings to be adjusted in game menu. Im not a 100% on the in game settings being changed and i apoligize if im wrong, ill update when im back home and on the rig to verify with a direct comparison. Edit - Disregard anything about the settings being changed that i mentioned, i got the base settings and in game settings mixed up.I work from an old screenshot where they certainly aren't 0, although on the website now they aren't 0 either unless there's a new place they display that? https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/8358055253271-In-Game-Settings-for-Pro-Wheels
Sounds like a very reasonable explanation.Ok so I just found out from one of the team members about the status of the pro ecosystem. When they released the wheel several years ago the 5 person team decided to take a weeks vacation to celebrate despite initial sales. They went to Vegas. Just prior to the wheel release they were 60% done developing a gt wheel, f1 wheel, pro shifter and handbrake. They just needed to get the supply chain worked out with such innovative new gear! They were eager to get the wheel out first and the ecosystem was on track for first year release. Fast forward to the job well done vacation. This is a smart team of people and on the first day at the tables they learned to count cards. And they did so as a team. They quit their jobs and now make millions a week storming their way through casinos. Who would have thought, engineers turned millionaires all because of a sim steering wheel. And now there is no team, and the development has been lost with the previous crew. So thats it. They are still searching for a new team to develop. Rumor has it, they have till October.
I didn't say so. Can you name the other bases affected? And the issue doesn't appear to be isolated to Logitech and Fanatec DD wheels.
I do agree with you. Despite my silly post, I too purchased knowing that may be it for the line up. And I am very happy with it! I really actually can’t complain, I just like to. 3rd many party shifters are plug and play and easy to add with the right steps. Im in a bit of small window in that I only play GT7/Psvr2. That being said, it often blurs the fact you’re even holding a Logi wheel vs the car being driven wheel in a sense at times for me. You just kind of get lost in the immersion enough so it hasn’t bothered me too much. I always use gloves, I have gone back and forth sometimes wrapping the wheel with foam cycling tape to find a comfortable thickness.Sounds like a very reasonable explanation.
But in all seriousness, I bought the G Pro knowing that the chances that I would ever want an H-shifter and handbrake are very slim, so I am not in that boat of people being outraged about the slowness, but I do get the frustration.
I am very happy with the G Pro set, but I suppose I could be tempted by an alternative wheel if it had some ergonomics more to my taste. Mostly I am thinking of the two rotary knobs - I really don’t like to move my hands that much, so I have (in GT7) assigned ❎⏺️⏹️🔼 to take care of the in-race settings. This works muuuuuch better for me.
Oh, an I have found a solution to the super dry feel of the leather. In this thread I saw at least one other person feeling that the dry feeling was a bit off, so I know I am not the only one. It sort of has the dry feel of paper or cardboard. Anyway I have this leather grease that is an all natural product, and simply applied a little and rubbed it in. After a day or two of use, when the product is all absorbed, the feel of the leather is much more like like leather should feel.
I assume you are using the thumb stick for the MFD. I did that for a while, but found I would make mistakes - as in getting the angle wrong, so a vertical push would be horizontal. I switched to ⏹️🔼 for selection and ❎⏺️ for down/up and i LOVE the precision of this. You move your hands so very little, and there is this sense of absoluteness. After using these four buttons for MFD, I can not even imagine why anybody would use the two rotary dials.Strangely in Vr I find I only use the thumb stick, options button, ps button and x. I should try other setups.
I'm not sure if you are trolling, being intentionally obtuse or having a reading comprehension problem.Simucube, Simagic, Moza.
Literally google (wheel brand name here) oscillation.
What are you commenting on then?I'm not sure if you are trolling, being intentionally obtuse or having a reading comprehension problem.
For the last time: I'm not commenting on oscillations (which every FFB-capable base can be coerced into.)
Rich,When you turn on the PS5 you'll get the usual startup logo animation and then it will prompt you to log in with a user profile - that's when you turn the wheel on and press the PS button so that you can select the user profile.
Read @loudlevin's post (that you replied to earlier) where he describes a "pulsating" feel in the rim. Like the rumble effect on a joypad, to my understanding, which, as I've already mentioned, Fanatec users are also complaining about. What are you commenting on then?
It seems to me you're just trying to provoke an argument.
You think that just because your Simucube base doesn't do that this isn't a trait of DD wheel bases.
@Oshawa-Joe said the issue doesn't appear to be isolated to Logitech and Fanatec DD wheels, and you asked him to name other affected brands, which he did.
Now here you are, saying that you're not commenting on the issue we are discussing.
I think you have misunderstood @Oshawa-Joe , I think he is referring to the same issue that @loudlevin brought up.Read @loudlevin's post (that you replied to earlier) where he describes a "pulsating" feel in the rim. "Moving the wheel around does stop the pulsation," he added, which to me clearly indicates this has nothing to do with the inherent oscillations @Oshawa-Joe kept bringing up.
And I certainly don't want to provoke anybody or anything. My point was that the vibrating/buzzing feel is not a common trait of direct-drive bases, as you suggested earlier.
I disagree - if your wheel is oscillating violently back-and-forth, you don't "mov[e] the wheel around [to] stop the pulsation" as @loudlevin explained.I think you have misunderstood @Oshawa-Joe , I think he is referring to the same issue that @loudlevin brought up.
