Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

I've just finished watching the RS50 & RS Pedal set review by Boosted Media. I agree with Will, in that I feel like this wheelbase should have been released before the G Pro Wheelbase. If it had been available earlier, I don't think I would have purchased a GT DD Pro (though I probably wouldn't have upgraded to my current Simagic setup, which I'm far happier with). The wheelbase being 8nm out of the box is good news, no need for any "boost kits" like Fanatec and Asetek offer for their entry level products. Comparing it to the GT DD Pro again, I'm not a fan of either manufacturer's steering wheel accessories - many of Fanatec's are very dated now and Logitech's are a bit too "gamey" - however, the QR adapter Logitech offers is of far better value than Fanatec's Podium Hub, making this wheelbase arguably a better option if you want to use a 3rd party wheel. The RS Pedals look like a fantastic entry level loadcell set. The brake appears to have an adequite amount of adjustability and the value is really good, not much competition within the price range. The only thing that I really have to question is the lack of either front and side-mounting - for people who mount their wheelbases to a profile rig, front/side-mounting is a no brainer as it frees up lef room and allows more flexibility for monitor placement.

Wish we could get a better idea of not far off is. Good to know it is planned though. It’d have to be rather close for him to be allowed to even make this statement I feel.
I'm Rich's biggest fan, but to manage expectations, he said the same thing 12 months ago - hinting that it'd be not far off, but not before Christmas. And here we are a year later and still with no H-shifter.

Not Rich's fault. For some reason, Logitech have prioritised different shape wheels and an orange playseat cockpit, over the shifter.

I really don't get it - but I assume market data tells Logitech that these things will be better for their bottom line and that's their main goal. The number of cars manufactured with H shifters today is very small, so perhaps the demand isn't as great as we think it is. Kids who've grown up in the last decade or two haven't had much accessibility to manual cars. So to them, it's not a "real car" thing, it's just something they see on youtube rally vids. I see it as a bit of a shame, and also potentially a danger given many European countries will rent manual cars to visitors from the US, Australia and other countries who have never learned to drive one.

Hoonestly had I known of this wheel ahead of time, I'd have thought a lot more when I upgraded my G29 to a new T598. The trustmaster wheel is great, but I've much more confidence in the quality of the logitech products. Oh well...

I’m genuinely speechless.

Logitech I’m sorry but how does it take you as a company so long to get Products out. Having to wait an entire Quarter from when you reveal a Product is poor. It took 3 Months for the MOMO Rims to be available in The UK and even then I had to go directly to the UK MOMO Supplier to even get it let alone from Logi UK Store not holding stock.

Honestly frustrating. I’m a very patient man but this for a Wheel Add On is Poor. I will buy it when it eventually comes but disappointed it’s going to take this long to arrive.
Seams to me that if a person loves to buys all the extras rather than have one rim and just a base and peddles then Logitech doesn't seam the best route to go down at this moment. Also I know it's not Logitechs vault but PS5 owners getting shafted for £100 extra is hard pill to swallow. PS5 just no longer worth if for SIM racers unless you play GT a lot.

I would love an H shifter and I surely will buy it when that thing exists.
But I think you nailed the point there about the demand.

Is suspect is like a niche inside a niche.
Rally drivers has the sequential shifter and formula/GT drivers the paddles.
Wheres the H shifter market? For the casual driving of classics in GT7? Eurotruck simulator?

I dont know how many of us would buy it and even in my case I have to admit that I dont see me using the H shifter with regularity.

About the Formula add on:

I liked it but isnt a bit odd that the upper horizontal bar blocks the OLED screen view?
Not that you need to see it while driving but to change settings with this rim attached seems like a difficult thing.

I was really hoping (like the rest of us) for a more premium wheel outside the RSHUB ecosystem but it is what it is.
This inverted U shape seems better for accessing the rotaries than the actual RS track wheel.

I just feel sorely left out. You seem the advancements that Moza have had with the gorgeous Lamborghini + Porsche Replica Wheels. However what truly keeps me is TrueForce because it’s a game changer on PS5 Sims like GT7, F1 25 & Other racing titles that utilise it.

I adore Logi’s Products, To be very clear Logi Rich isn’t to blame for any of the poor decisions that Logitech make with their Product distribution/strategy. However taking this long to get certain add ons out will just frustrate the users who have heavily invested in this ecosystem long term.

My biggest problem with all the rs hub rims is that it just doesn’t feel like a new wheel.
The f1 rim is €130 than €130 for a hub is €260 and because you use the hub every button is on the same place, no extra or other dails it all feels the same

Some would say keeping the same button layout for muscle memory in the middle of a race isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as you have all the inputs you need in the first place.

I'm ok with the layout. I would buy it if it was the same price or only marginally more expensive than the Track Wheel.

A different layout than the Track Wheel and adding a McLaren logo does not warrant a 85% price increase over the Track Wheel in my opinion. (If the rumoured price of USD $129.99 is right for the F1 McLaren rim over the USD $69.99 for the Track Wheel)

I know this. I will be pre-ordering it as soon as it becomes available.
