The Momo round wheel is amazing you guys.

I honestly thought it wouldn't be a big deal and kind of just wanted to get it "just because" - but I was wrong.

It's a completely different experience from the (also good) stock wheel.

It's a bit bigger, a bit thicker, has a totally different grip and a completely different feel.

100% recommend to anybody looking for a wheel that feels a bit more "race-y".

Can you use it without gloves?
I like to drive bare handed and thats why I never dare to buy it.

It looks superb, but I was afraid of that material wearing bad if I dont use gloves.

I’m using it without gloves. So far so good, but I’ve only been using it for like 2 weeks. No idea what will happen long term.

What wheel are you comparing it too?

Hello,

I took the two versions of Momo.

Since their arrival, I no longer use the original steering wheel in D shape.

Between the two versions of the Momo, I would say that I use the round (real) model at 90%.

Always with Sparco gloves because in my opinion the suede and hand perspiration make a bad match.

I have been using it for a year. This weekend, I will try to post photos of the signs of wear.

The (real) flexibility of the upper part doesn’t bother me at all.

The ergonomics is very good, I have taken my marks with a personal mapping and it works very well in VR.

Do you need the adapter to use this wheel or does it came with its own quick release system like the original D-shape wheel? Plus, where have you bought the Sparco gloves? Thank you

Yep, you'll always need something with the quick release on it in order to attach the wheel to the base. The GT D wheel is a complete steering wheel that can't be disassembled, but the RS Wheel Hub was explicitly designed to allow for the simple attachment of other steering wheel shapes via a purely mechanical solution. We supply the RS Round and Track Wheels, with the Formula Wheel coming soon; MOMO supplies their round and GT wheels, with a new one coming soon; then there's the various third parties that have already produced different wheels that attach to the RS Wheel Hub - MPI, Rogue Racing, Acelith etc. etc.

If you're on PC you can use the RS QR Adapter to connect an even wider range of steering wheels to the base, including those with screens, provided they work as their own USB device.

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but it is regarding a Logitech Pro Wheel.

I recently returned a wheel/base/pedal/free gift controller to Logitech and just received my refund. However, the refund was only for the base and free gift controller. They were all packaged in the same box. Should I expect another refund for the pro pedals?

I have attempted to contact customer service, but haven’t been successful connecting to a person.

Thanks!

@racinglife85

I bought them a long time ago now.

At the time on the Oreca site.

There are sometimes interesting promotions.

I see that you are in Belgium, I think it’s possible for you.

Very good hold over time... usually, I turn them a little on my wrists if I feel hot.

very very clear, thank you so much for the precious info. the only thing that i personally don't like so much is the fact that if i want to change the type of wheel i have to unscrew the bolts everytime.
p.s. do you have a list of all the third parties that have produced different wheels compatible with the RS wheel hub?

Well that's one option. The other is just getting another RS Wheel Hub, of course...

People have been discussing other wheel options in this thread.

I cant deal with that neither and I like the possibility to swap wheels on the fly according to the car Im driving.
Because of that, when I purchase a new rim I add the cost of a new hub to the equation and I let them always assembled.

yes, but you agree, i think, that this start to become too much expensive. why doesn't make directly the wheel with a quick release system like the default D-shaped wheel instead?

thank you.

Because the wheels can be made by 3rd parties while the hub is made by Logi.

It's because then the whole product would be as expensive as that of purchasing the separate parts. The RS Wheel Hub offers the flexibility to do what you want:
  1. A more affordable option of swapping the steering wheel shapes on the same Hub, just with the drawback of it taking more time to do this.
  2. The convenience of not needing to do this, by purchasing multiple Hubs, but of course at more expense.
As GlamFM points out, part of the ethos of the Hub design is a reflection of the community's desire to modify wheels. With the previous G-series wheels people had to disassemble the product to achieve this, so we've just made it much easier for people to accomplish the same goal. We always knew that a third party ecosystem of options would appear around the Wheel Hub.

yeah i totally understand the logic and the marketing strategy too behind this choice. I just hope that in the future you guys will expand your ecosystem seriously because now after few years from the launch of the g pro wheel and g pro pedals, there are very few accessories in the ecosystem compared to other brands. i say this just because i always loved logi and its product and the fact that now you are finally in the big league market of wheel and pedals, makes me want more

Idk I’ve never seen the appeal of putting different rims/wheels on. I get that some like to try and be as accurate as they can, I’m driving a formula one, I better put that wheel on. Or this is rally racing, better get that wheel on. But boy that’s gotta add up fast.

I’ll stick with the original one, works great. Although I do wish it would have had lightly back lit buttons. 2 years with my wheel and I still don’t have muscle memory built up to know where the buttons are. Layout seems like it’s just off of where I’d think it would be.

@LOGI_Rich what is the best way to switch wheels on the Logitech G Pro wheel. Should I close GT7 on the PS5 or switch off the base and then change the wheel to the RS wheel for example.

Or can I let the base running and GT7 also keep running and just switch the wheels?

Well as soon as you remove the wheel the base will turn off :-)

Pause the game, remove the wheel, replace with the other and then power the base back on and press the PS button register it with the console. Unpause the game and continue.
Thanks for your fast response!

Good to know that removing thewheel while the base is running doesn’t hurt the base and that it turns off itself.

Since it is better to start thebase and then GT7, does it mean when changing wheels the settings in GT7 can be effected. Since the base turns itself off while GT7 is running (paused). Afterwards the base starts up again. I thought it’s always better to start the base first and then GT7

The reason for having the wheel on before starting a game is because often games initialise features of a wheel during their startup process. A recent example of where this really became necessary was F1 25 and the RS50 before they added native support. If you started the game with the wheel in RS compatibility mode you wouldn't have been able to even progress to the menu screen, because of the lack of native support. Even switching the base to Pro Wheel compatibility mode at that point wouldn't allow you to progress; you had to quit the game and start it again with the wheel in Pro mode in order for it to work. This no longer applies since they added native support for the RS50, but it highlights that there's plenty of things going on "under the hood" when you start a game.

In your instance, as you've had the wheel present when starting the game, turning it off and on again should be fine, because it was present when the game started. To be clear, this is on console, whereas on PC there's various titles that don't handle this correctly.

Clear, many thanks for taking time to clarify 🫶

@LOGI_Rich,

Evenin', mornin', or whichever else might apply when you see this sir.

I'm wondering if you know of anyone that makes a dust cover for the entire G-Pro wheel and pedal set? My searching, thus far, has only turned up a dust cover for the wheel hub connector thing. I'm looking for something that will cover the entire base with wheel attached and the pedal set. Something that isn't me just using a towel or a sheet from my rag bag. Form fitting would be nice. Should LogitechG release something like that along side that hoped for H-Gate, they'd certainly get my attention (meaning a transfer of funds), almost immediately.

Thanks for your time and attention.
