I have been using my G27 with CronusMAX in GTS Beta without issue. As far as the game is concerned, I have a G29. The setup was easy enough to do too. Just make sure you buy one of the compatible USB hubs they have confirmed tested.

Glad to hear this works well. Way cheaper than a g29 for us legacy wheel users!

I got a GIMX working this week for my Fanatec Clubsport. In PS3 mode, it emulates a G27.

But there was some extra work I needed to do in order to get the pedals working. I have the Clusport V3 Intverted and ended up needing to go direct to PC and mess around with stuff (even some of the code) in the GIMX config.

A good friend of Mine did the Beta Testing for the CronusMax Plus.
It works with G25, G27, DFGT, And Fanatec ! and it is Only $60

No LAG, Full FFB, It makes the PS4, think you are using a G29.
You do Need a USB hub, one that has been tested to work as not all USB hubs are the same.
And you Do need to have your DS4 connected to pass the security checks.

it really WORKS.

I built my GIMX for $33.

Requires some configuration, but works great.

I thought GIMX needs a PC or a raspberry to run the code.??
Is that Included in your Cost?

ChronusMax is Stand alone USB, and pretty much Plug and Play.

But the bottom line, is.... either way.. GIMX or ChronusMAx
For a LOT less than a New PS4 Wheel.
You can Use you Legacy Wheel on the PS4 and it WORKS!

Well, if someone doesn't have a PC, then yes, you are right that the cost would be more.

I worry a little about plug and play for my scenario, because with GIMX, it was anything but. The pedals specifically needed an adjusted configuration, and it was due to the G27 software not recognizing the range correctly. They defaulted to 50% on, in the Logitech Profiler software.

I also have seen a Rapberry Pi/GIMX combined device for around $60.

My only point is that there are options.

I'm sure not all of the Members here are quite as Hands on with Software and tweaking code, as you are.
So while it took a bit of adjusting and tweaking, you were able to get it working.

For most, I think the Out of the Box, Plug and Play is more attractive.
Even the Download this file, Plug it in, Click update, select the file you downloaded and go..
Is a bit more than some want to deal with.

And even with CronusMax, you have to install a configuration. Set it up for PS4 Wheel mode.

And that too might intimidate some...

i just got my chronus, updated the firmware, set it up for PS4 wheel and will try it out this afternoon with my g27.

Love using my G27 and it works perfectly, but the only thing i have trouble with is none of the buttons on the face of the g27 work. To get this to work like they did in gt5/6 do i need to tweak the cronus software or can i assign the buttons in GTS? And what G27 buttons correlate to the G29?

Since I am using GIMX, I am not sure how your setup works.

But I can tell you that all of my buttons on the wheel work, and my Fanatec emulates a G27 when it is in PS3 mode.

Since the GIMX requires the DS4 to be plugged into the PC for it to work, I am also able to use the controller to navigate the menus and for other functions. It of course does not operate to drive the car when the wheel is plugged in, but this would be an option for you, since your buttons do not work.

I'm using the cronusmax. I'll play around with it when I have some time

Hey do you have any issues when you are in part throttle? When I am in part throttle condition the bar next to the speedo stays constant but the engine revs up erratically. I also found that in some gears it goes to full throttle even before my pedal is to the floor. Let me know if you are seeing this as well.

I am running G27 through GMIX.

I haven't found issues, do you have that issue if you connect your G27 to your PC/PS3?

Check to see what your pedals are doing on the PC, within the Calibration software. Normally this is going to be under Settings/Devices and Printers. Then right click the icon for your G27, and there should be a couple different settings options. Try the top one, which should be "Game Controller Settings". Within that, there should be some calibration options.

If the pedals are doing the same thing in there, then it may be a problem with your pedals or how the PC is reading, them, not the GIMX.

Or, it might just be that you need to re-calibrate them, which should be an option in there as well.

I had problems with my Fanatec pedals, the Logitech profiler thought they were both on 50% by default. Had to form a workaround, but since you are using a G27, that should not be the case for you.

has anyone been able to figure out the button mapping on G27 with chronus max? it works perfectly for PC2 because you can select a function and the press the button to map it. on GTS it does it in reverse. I've had no luck

I use a Drive Hub, but I assume the button mapping will be the same for Chronus Max.

G27 three red buttons on the left side of the wheel (top to bottom) map to L2, G29 "+", and G29 "-".

G27 three red buttons on the right side of the wheel (top to bottom) map to R2, G29 "Enable Button", and G29 "Adjustment Dial".

G27 four red buttons on the gear shifter (left to right map to) L3, Share, Options, and R3.
