So I've been searching around and the only thread that I could really find about this problem is here:
http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/logitech-g27-shaking-problems-on-gran-turismo-5.206365427/
But there is no solution and one dingbat who just insults and basically calls OP stupid. I would've asked in the original thread but since it was back in 2011 I kind of can't do it.
Anyway, in GT5 and GT6, when I'm racing the wheel shakes violently back and forth. If I'm going and i turn the wheel just a bit and let it "correct" itself it turns itself left-right-left-right and so on and i practically have to fight to keep the car straight, and when cornering I have to fight to stay in control, even if I'm only going like 30 mph. You can't say it's realistic because I've actually tested this in my car. I would accelerate from 0-100mph, only lightly gripping the wheel (to make sure I don't go off into the ditch) and the wheel doesn't violently shake back and forth. And I know it's not my wheel because it works just fine in DiRT 3, DiRT: Showdown, Live for Speed, Race 07, GT Legends, MotorStorm, and a few others. It's only GT5 and GT6 it does it in. I was hoping it would've been fixed in 6 but it's like they did absolutely nothing. Rallying is impossible because once i get slightly sideways the wheel gets thrown in the opposite direction, causing me to spin out and/or go straight into a wall. Same when drifting. I know how to drift. I do it all the time in LFS, Forza (with the gamepad, but still), and can even do it in real life.
It's so impossible to drive in Gran Turismo with the G27 (and possibly the G25 since they're basically the same exact thing) and I love GT but don't want to play it because of this problem. I want to know if there is a way around it, or if I'm out of luck or if the gods over at Polyphony will actually fix it. I just really want to play this beautiful game and what's the point of playing a racing simulator when you don't have a wheel?
