Ran into my first pretty big issue with this wheel. It's been running fine using all kinds of different cars, even high downforce VGT's. But today I tried to start qualifying for the Power Pack Le Mans 24 hr endurance in this car:

And it's completely undrivable due to violent oscillations past around 215mph. I only run the wheelbase at 4.5-6Nm and FFB strength 10 in game, and I've since tried to adjust everything and I can't fix the problem. So far I've tried:

  • Dampner set to 100%, still oscillates
  • FFB sensitivity down to 1 in game
  • Game vibrations from 150% down to 100%
  • FFB frequency from auto to 6
  • TF audio to zero (helps a bit)
  • Wheelbase torque down to 2Nm - still can feel it oscillating
  • Turned the base off in game and on again just in case it isn't recognising it as a G Pro
  • Tried both RS and Gpro compatibility modes.
  • Restarted wheel and PS5
  • FFB strength in game down to like 2-3, which helps the most but then I can barely feel any FFB at all.

I've felt mild oscillations in other cars but nothing that couldn't be removed by gently holding the wheel. This is so bad that regardless of how tight or loose I hold it, it wants to rock side to side, especially if I make a slight turn then return to centre.
All I can think is it got quite hot yesterday doing the 6 hour Suzuka race in te 500hp car which I ran at 4.5NM and performed just fine, then turned everything off until this evening.
It's running the most recent firmware as of when I got the wheel about 2 weeks ago.
Has anyone tried running this car and can suggest some fixes? Thanks
 
I've noticed that some driving games can behave quite differently depending on the physics and how the FFB is tuned, especially at high speeds. It makes sense that the combination of the car, track, and wheel settings could be causing the oscillation rather than the wheelbase itself. For comparison, Car Parking Multiplayer game information also covers the game's driving physics, vehicles, customization, and multiplayer side, so it can be interesting to see how different driving-focused games handle their physics and controls.
 
Don't remember what driving that particular car felt like, but I've followed @LOGI_Rich 's recommendation from the beginning and have had no problem with oscillations or force feedback Max torque.

Leave the wheelbase strength on the 8Nm maximum and just play with in-game FFB strength setting.
I find, for my taste, steering too hard and oscillations too big when going higher than 6 for all race cars and some race-tuned road cars. For the rest (most road cars), the default maximum in game setting of 10 is ok.

Fixed the problem. Turned out it was the FFB filter causing it. Must have flicked it from auto to 15. Confirmed by going down the Le Mans straight, put it to 15 and immediately it tried to rock out my hands, as soon as it was put on auto it went away.
Put the ingame FFB strength back up to 10, in game sensitivity to 2, wheelbase torque down to 4.5 (just for this endurance race) and dampner down from 30 to 4. Feels perfectly fine and much more detail coming through again. Didn't know the FFB filter could have that effect but I'll just make sure to leave it on auto
 
I've initially set FFB filter to 6, as recommended on Logitech website, but it seems Auto works better - with filter at 6 trueforce was somehow very limited, in most cases only curbs were felt (and not always).
 
I suppose the higher the value the more nuanced and smaller FFB details come through, so i guess if it's too low it will limit TF feedback. The manual says to generally leave it on auto IIRC. I suppose in my case it was allowing too much 'noise' into the ffb creating what I've been calling oscillation, but in reality it was more like a violent rocking side to side, impossible to control with both hands on the wheel and still happened with dampner set to 100. A lot different to the typical 'oscillation' you get when you let go of the wheel and it shakes rapidly side to side. That I don't have a problem with because I never let go of the wheel completely.
Anyways glad it's all sorted and I can get through this boring 24 hour of Le Mans in comfort.

Given that, why would switching it from auto to 15 induce the rocking? And does auto mode constantly change the value based on telemetry or does it just stick to whatever the value the game developers coded in? All very odd and don't really understand it but auto fixed it regardless
