London Bombs

Oh damnit why couldn't they have done this in the morning? I could have got another day off work.

This is ridiculous... I can only hope that this is some sort of copy cat attempt not on the same scale as two weeks ago... tomorrow my friend is going to the funeral of his friend who was killed two weeks ago... this just seems like a sick joke...

edit: it seems these are dummy explosions, caused by detonators only...

Well that would be a founded speculation, 3 tubes and a bus is a little too coincidental.

Shame for them that they're such 'tards and messed it up. One guy was seen running out of one of the tubes after one of the explosions and all the brave Londoneers were throwing themselves at him in an attempt to stop him. Or something similar. He got away though.

Well, unfornately, sooner or later, some country is going to get pissed off by a bomb, and then they're going to end up attacking the Middle East and taking innocent lives.

My 2 cents.

These brain-dead morons obviously know about as much about humanity as they know about London... Hackney Road? Bethnal Green? (That's where I live by the way)... MP? George Galloway (Respect Party, and a leader of the Stop The War coalition)... Tower Hamlets, the constituency where Hackney Road is (and where my mate lives) has one of the largest (if not the largest) Muslim communities (percent population) in London... (along with Newham, which is in Hackney)...

As for last week, Edgware Road? If there is one street/station you don't want to attack if you are Muslim, then it would be Edgware Road, famous for it's Arabic restaurants and culture... These bombers/would-be bombers are as brain-dead as it is possible to be...

Independant News
At Oval station there were reports of a man dumping a rucksack in a carriage then fleeing as the doors closed.

God imagine that. Just standing there staring at this bag which you're 90% sure contains a bomb. Chaos.

At the next G8 summit, they might actually talk about terrorism, maybe.

Don't hit the snooze bar when it comes to terrorism.

Todays papers are saying that Pakistani intelligence has arrested a bloke thought to be the Al Qaeda head of operations in the UK. He had a mobile phone that had been used in conversations with the 'original' four London Bombers hours before the blasts. He then boarded a flight to Pakistan and was arrested attempting to cross into Afganistan. If this guy was the 'master-mind' behind the first bombings than i would have thought that these new bombings are copycat attempts.

Well considering that the original 4 actually accomplished their goal of killing themselves and these guys didn't, i'd say that they were not related. Looks a bit like amateur hour.

Police now say the bombs contained explosives but they were faulty, only the detonators went off and the bombers paniced. The only casualty was one of the bombers.

WE ARE NOT AFRAID!

Don't let these F'd up B******S get us down.

and if you can fix Mr. Toads code, it would be appreciated (seems wrong in size on my sig.). Toad is not a codehead.

Sick ****s. I don't care, how justifiable they belive their causes are. As long as they target random, innocent civilians, they will get absolutely zero sympathy from me. 👎

Quite right...

A man has been shot dead by plain-clothes police at Stockwell underground station this morning.... no further news yet...

Assuming that it turns out he wasn't carrying a bomb, he did the stupidest thing imaginable given whats been going on recently - being chased by armed police he dived onto a tube train!

Surprise, surprise, they dived on him and shot him ... full marks to the police.

If he'd stopped or even simply not jumped on a train he'd probably still be alive now (given that we don't actually much go in for gunning down people in England, it's not to our taste).

I just heard on the news that the guy who was shot was a suicide bomber. He was shot because the London Police have been given orders to "shoot to kill" suspected suicide bombers.

I can't believe this is happening again... :nervous:

The police didn't have a lot of choice. If this guy was a bomber and they hadn't killed him, he could've blown himself up right there, killing the police and all the civies around.

[edit] it was a little tasteless though, bundling on top of the chap inside a crowded train and shooting him 5 times at point blank. [/]

Rule of thumb at the moment, if you go into London, don't act suspicious in the underground.

Apparently a mosque has been surround too in Whitely. More news on that later.

That last thing I heard on CNN was that this man fell down trying to get on a tube train. He then was shot 3 or 5 times by the police. He is supposedly a suicide bomber

Hmmm, it would seem like a bloody stupid time to attempt anything, considering that there are armed police everywhere - but I think we can expect to see more 'incidents' - groups and individuals who are trying to 'strike while the iron's hot' - but as this guy has just proved, it's a very dangerous game to be playing... I haven't seen any reports yet that confirmed whether he was a bomber or not - only that he wasn't carrying any bags - but was wearing a padded jacket.

I've never been in favour of the shoot-to-kill policy, but sadly, given the nature of the threat posed by would-be suicide bombers, they don't leave us with much choice - I can only applaud the efforts of those people who are trying (and largely succeeding) to stop these psychotic murderers from claiming more innocent lives.
