I used the stealth Nissan, I had to pit every 3 laps. I drove total of 28 laps (I think..). :D

You should easily be able to last 3 laps with any LMP on racing softs. Maybe 4 with very smooth driving.

On the other hand, you'll need only one pit at mid-race if you use a GSXR4 concept (engine stock).

What if I used a fully tuned one. Will I have to pit more times?

I tried it yesterday and I used a ZR1 RM. Pitted every 3 laps, tried to do four and had to hug the wall for most of the lap. Managed 10 laps then then my parents turned the PS3 off >_>

Find something light, powerful & 4WD.

I haven't tried this race in A-Spec, but Bob has driven it a few times using a Lancia DELTA S4 Rally Car '85 in B-Spec. It's always a close race between the Lancia and the fastest AI until lap 4 or 5. I adjusted the power distribution between front & rear so the tires wear evenly and it's good for 7 laps consistently while the AI have to pit every 4 or 5 laps. Maybe something similar would be good: 4WD, 456HP, 890kg.

Engine stock the car needs about 150 liters of gas to complete 27 laps.

The more hp your engine has, the more it guzzles gas. Maybe you should be able to stay under 200 liters for the whole race when fully modded, but be very conservative with your tires if you want them to last for 14 laps.

In that case, I will probably go for some other car. I want to use this as a good opportunity to improve my times on the Nürburgring.

I might think about using the Nismo 380RS Superleggera.

At the first stop, figure out what your car used per lap, add a couple of litres for emergencies and never leave the pits with any more than that for the rest of the race.

yea i tried the zr1 rm but on the 4th lap i had no tires left and the evntually lapped me bacause i spun out to much

What are the lap times for the fastest AI car?

I want to enjoy this race so I don't want to pick something too slow or too fast.

Seriously, you can get away with the slower cars if you don't have to brim your tank every time you pit. Of course, if your tyre performance sustains for a full tank then fair enough, but no cars I've tried so far managed this.

I was pitting every 3 laps in the Mine's Skyline 06 on racing hard and leaving each pit stop with only 50 litres (3 laps requires 48). The Spoon and the Audi LM ran off until their slower pitstops and flakey in laps took their toll.

I'd do this race again, to be honest.

Don't go overkill with your car choice. If the cars your racing are weaker they're probably going to need to pit less than you do. Try getting around an equal spec car and use skill to win instead of pitting all the time with an overpowered car. If you want to make your car faster use weight reduction and not engine upgrades.

i was gonna use the x1 but from experience i know id have to pit like every lap cause it guzzels so much gas and eats at your tires

I did this with a stock Peugeot 908 a couple days ago. Pitted every 3 laps on racing softs. YMMV, depending on your driving style...I went pretty aggressively. With an Autobacs Arta Garaiya on racing softs, you'll be able to do 6 or 7 lap stints.
