I am.

Understanding it is not the hard part, but to figure out what numbers to put in IS. Example? You want the longest launch gear possible without bogging. Choices? Test n tune, or spectate and see what other people are shifting at.

Exactly. So if you understand AND spectate you can make sense of the numbers, therefore stealing someone's hard work.

......What the :odd:

Ask anyone else the same questions and they will respond the same way.

Sorry but what you are saying just isnt true at all. Most noobs dont understand tuning at all. There is just noway to understand or even see your numbers put into a ratio box.

Example: a spectator sees that you somehow created a long gear for a good launch but he has no idea how to work anything and know nothing about tuning gears or how you did that. There is absolutly noway he would know how to tune a gear or even had seen your numbers by looking at a speed meter go back and fourth.

To me you just seem paranoid, because I have no problem with people watching my speed meter when thats all it is. somebody can sit a safe in front of me with a million dollors in it but it doesnt mean I know the code to open it. odds are slim that the average person knows how to crack codes Just by staring at a safe or even spinning the dail.

Like I said, I doubt the average gt player can figure your every tune number just by watching your speed meter.

Infact I dont care who speculates in my room because I have confadence that a noob or tuner cant track my numbers.

Yall tunes must be that basic for yall to be kicking spectators. Lol

I'm sure that no one joins your rooms if you allow spectators, or at least no one thy has any pride in their tunes as even noobs know the tranny trick and after that it's not hard to figure out after that so your entire argument is invalid.

spectating = humiliation and insta-kick

I'm sorry, but who are you again?

There are 3 basic categories of draggers. A, noobs. They don't tune, just upgrade cars all the way and run them. B, basic tuners. They upgrade their car and make some small and basic adjustments (shorten ratios, raise rear, lower front... etc). And C, pro tuners. They critique every individual ratio and perfect their suspension that the tree decides who is the winner. Now, spectating would not be much help to A since they don't tune, but for B & C, it yields numbers they can use. ANY basic tuner knows that moving the bar left makes a gear longer and right, shorter. If they see, say for the ACR, I launch in 2nd and shift to 3rd at around 65MPH, they will gear their ratios to top out a little over 65, and lo and behold, most of the work is done, thanks to me. Maybe your a circuit tuner, and with that, ratios aren't as important as in drag racing. But with this type of racing, the transmission accounts for the majority of your tune. If you have a good tranny setup, you can set your suspension to default and STILL be competitive. Giving it away is something I will not do lightly.

If you think I am "basic" feel free to find me in a room. I consider myself in the "C" category as I know who is the best and can tie with most of them. And you know what? I NEVER NEEDED TO SPECTATE AND I WAS NEVER ON A TEAM. I spend countless hours tuning by myself and it paid off.

I'm sure that no one joins your rooms if you allow spectators, or at least no one thy has any pride in their tunes as even noobs know the tranny trick and after that it's not hard to figure out after that so your entire argument is invalid.

I can't imagine his rooms would have much competition anyways.

Man I have nothing negetive to say to you all who think im about jive.

We have our opinions about spectating.

I just made a pro tune room and beat 10 people and lost to 1 person using just a tranny tune z06.

Z06 beats

4 other z06
5 zr1
1 acr

Lost to pro tuned acr by a door after pulling up from behind from a car lenth.

Even that guy gave me props and said I had a deadly pull.

now im not being cocky and it doesnt mean I will beat yall, it just means I had a decent night against some decent tuners.

But its funny how I even made a thread on here asking can I run against some top tuners to see how good and fast ive gotten, and none of you bothered to even give me a run or look at.

Yet yall say my rooms would be a joke.....yall are too cocky.

Not to mention I never launch any car from 2nd gear. If you have to do that then you obviously have trouble tuning every gear or have no confadence in your own tune.

I start from 1st and work my opponant. Not start from 2nd because I know thats my only chance.

Ok this makes no sense, since the fastest tune is NOT always 1st gear, it is for some, not all.

Yea it is for those that cant tune a decent 1st gear which puts their tuning skills overall in question.

Im a hardnosed no nonsense type of dragger. Either you have it or you dont sir. Grind those gears 1 through 6. your heart rate aint jumping is there ole boy?

Well ive waited up plus giving yall my psn but no response. Time for me to hit the pillow for work in the morning.

Guess ill try to reel in some pro tuners tomorrow.

Send a fr tha_jabberwocky

Wait a sec, are we talking 1/4 or SSR7?

ptk14
He is talking about SSR7 I believe... wow what a waste...

Cmon man why so froggy? Its not my fault you cant tune ss7.

Its still there for us to drag at.

I never knocked 1/4 drag. In fact im learning it also. Was experimenting with gears and launch yesterday and looking at suspension and weight testing.

you have read my post wrong. It was a waste for all of the typing/arguing to find out that you weren't talking about the same thing and typing to the wrong people entirely.

Ah yes, I agree, I mistakenly thought we were talking about 1/4.

I forget sometimes that people still run ssr7.

So if I create a 1/4 tune and win atleast one match against a great tuner.....im I then considered a decent 1/4 tuner?
