Happy New year to everyone!! With GT7 coming out in the next couple of months I wanted to start a project using GTS that will eventually roll over to GT7. There is no commitment if you are free and can help you are more than welcome to join.
I’m looking for at least 5 drivers, more are always welcomed! I don’t want to get into crazy detail but I’m looking to do either a Porsche or Ferrari driver experience. Some of the driver criteria includes being able to drive…

▪️Interior view
▪️No HUD
▪️ABS weak and off
▪️TCS off
▪️ASM off
▪️Comfort Tires

Again, this does not mean you have to be extremely fast. I have more information, but I will wait to see if I can get the help, I need first. Anyone willing to help I will make your time worth it Thank you. 🙏🏽

UPDATE: Detailed project information on post #22
Update: McLaren review: post #25
Update:McLaren Drivers Challenge Details: post #27
Update: Huracan day @ Monza preview post #34

Guys if you don’t mind can I please have your height and weight. I also would like to know what are your favorite cars? Is it in GTS sport or maybe is there a car in GTS you would in real life like to own? Let me know you two will be granted ownership of your favorite cars in this project. If you want to wait for GT7 that is fine also but if there is a car you like in GTS it’s yours!

The first 10 people who join will be given a car that they would like to own in real life and go through the full ownership.

I'm interested. Is it time zone dependant? Being in Australia may create difficulties, depending on what you have in mind.
Not at all my friend thank you for your interest! I will do everything in my power to match up times with you. Also there is no commitment when ever your free you can join. When you get a chance let me know your height and weight you can PM me with the info!

How are you going to give us cars in the game? My favourite? Might be the NSX '92. I'm 173cm and ~83 kg.

When I say you will have ownership of the car I mean you would own the NSX-R as your own during league play. I'm sure you have an NSX-R in your garage correct? You will use that during any league play in time attack event lets say at Bring Your Own car to Luguna Seca event. You will be able to participate with your NSX-R. You are an early participant so you don't have to go through the stages of actual getting a car. When latter people join they will have to go through a process to obtain a car vs you get to pick any car you would like to go through ownership.

If you go to the Scapes section, and go to Museums select the third scape scene.(scene id YWKK) Take a picture of the beautiful McLaren MP4-12C. Does not have to be one of those realistic pictures from the photo thread. PM me your picture do not post here thank you. If you do this before the McLaren event day you will receive additional points to your driver rating. This goes for anyone who completes this task before the event. Have a great day and get ready to experience a great day with McLaren!

I don't understand what is going on here. What's the point of all this ?

Happy New Year to you and family. As I mentioned in the first post I’m looking for skilled drivers to help me with a project with GTS. I didn’t get into full detail yet for the fact of it’s a lot of info and work. I wanted to get at least 5 people who can help me before I get into full blown detail. You don’t have to be fast and there is no commitment, but if people can drop around and participate in my community challenges I would appreciate it. Have a nice day.

Downloading sth. sounds kinda fishy. What is that download?

Downloading sth. sounds kinda fishy. What is that download?
Bro it’s just the livery we are using for the driver challenge, it’s no difference when you download a race livery for your car in sport mode. What would I do fishy? I have been a member on GTP for years. I race in a couple of leagues also on GTP.. I do nothing fishy on here my friend. I made a livery for the MP4C-12 MCLaren event so you guys can use it for the event. I wanted everyone in the same looking car. I just did a practice run with a friend and he had a blast.

Here is a picture of the car everyone was going to use. It’s just a plane MP4- 12C with a updated McLaren license plate.

I am not trying to steal cheat or harm anyone, I love playing GT and I love cars. I have a cool project that I think for anybody who enjoys playing GT and loves cars will truly enjoy this experience. I am truly looking for skilled drivers who can help me jump this off before GT7 gets here.

You are a great driver and I could really use your help and feedback. I’m trying to run cars in GTS/7 in their real life form. Let’s take a Porsche 911 930, this car in real life has no electronic aid to help the driver. No traction control, ABS, stability control, nothing! It’s you and the car. We would run the car the same way in GTS.. no ABS no TCS no ASM… comfort hards tires in all. I don’t care about brute speed if someone runs an 1982 911 with ABS, TCS, and runs a crazy fast time I don’t care. Not taking anything from them, but I want to see what drivers can do when the car is setup like it’s real life counterpart. I saw your lap with the cotw McLaren P1 race car and it was awesome how you had SH tires on there fighting the car and track for a decent lap. I’m trying to do something in that ball park but expand even deep into the car culture.

I'm just out of the loop with all the technology thing mate. I'll just paint the car in the game. I'm still eager to participate. :)

No problem my friend I can completely understand where you are coming from especially in this day of age. What I was asking for was all in game. That link I sent was a shortcut to my GTS page it has all my art work. You click the link and It will bring you to my liveries all you have to do is add to collections and it’s automatically in your download livery section. Takes not even 5 seconds. The McLaren group cannot wait to see what you guys can do in the MP4-12C. Later on today I will post more information on what I am trying to accomplish so we don’t have any miss understanding.😆 I race in a couple of leagues on GTP I am working hard to get this event set up soon so you guys can get a feel for what I’m trying to accomplish. I have a strong feeling you might really like this event and end up with a fast time.

@Lomic Sorry if I seemed mysterious, I put in the first post on what I was looking for with drivers. I even put I will post more information later for the fact I have a lot of info to post. I made another post with the 12C titled review and driver challenge coming soon, which was going to be a full detailed review on how the event was going to be ran. I had no clue you guys didn’t know you can download livery’s from other GTS players. Many people share their designs on GTP I thought it was normal I’m sorry for assuming. I will be more clear when I post more information on the project. If you ever have free time I would appreciate any help, thanks for the advice.

That's not my issue, I do share liveries and I am happy to pick liveries done by other people for my cars.

What I don't understand (I might be alone but I doubt it) is your goal with all that.

"let's take the same McLaren and put the same livery on !" ok... you want to do a race event with everybody in the same car and same color ? why ?

What about Porsche and Ferrari events as mentionned at the start ?

What's the deal with the ownership of the cars ? If I enter a lobby with an orange McLaren MP4C-12, obviously the car will be mine.

I'll undestand if you don't want to go into details or reveal your goal, but I guess you won't have a lot of volunteers if no one knows what you want to achieve ;)

In this post I want to share information on this project and what I am trying to accomplish. First of all Happy New Year to everyone, I hope everyone is well. I really enjoy the GT series and always had a unique playing style when playing GT. I feel as everyone has a certain style when they play GT. A player might get a production starter car to race through the series race's to turn it into a full track car. Some people like to take pictures, race b spec, etc. As I stated we all play our GT uniquely. One ambitious goal I have is to get different people who play GT all different unique ways, to join my project continuing their play style, but using my unique way I enjoy playing GT. Pure heartedly I feel anyone who’s love everything about cars and motor sports will appreciate this unique style.

The style of play I use playing GT/GTS I would describe as trying to get the most realistic experience within the game compared to reality. Obviously this will never be 100% accurate and while there might be other games that simulates physics better, on console GT in my opinion offers the the best experience and has the different varieties I enjoy. Let’s take the old Porsche 911 930 turbo for example. The normal casual player would use automatic transmission, ABS maybe Traction control, sport tires, bumper cam, take it out to the track and enjoy. There is nothing wrong with that at all, that’s that person right to enjoy the game the way they want to. In this Project I am not looking for that type of style, I want players to enjoy the 930 in it’s realistic state while playing GTS.

In this Project using the 911 turbo 930 as an example we would mimic the car just as it would be in reality. The 911 turbo 930 is manual transmission, did not have Traction control(TCS) Anti-lock brakes(ABS) Stability control(ASM) Counter steering assist(CSA) There were no assist to save you, and if you know a little about cars they didn’t call this the widow maker for nothing. This assist options for this car for this project would look like this..

▪️Transmission Manual(MT)(non adjustable)
▪️Traction control(No)-Off 0(Non adjustable)
▪️Active stability Management(No)-Off
▪️Countersteering assist(No)-Off
▪️ABS(No)-Off

Let’s also go over tires, this car is from 1981 we are now in 2022. Tire technology has come a long way since the 80s. The 911 turbo 930 ‘81 comes stock on Pirelli CinturatoP7 these tires would be considered comfort hards. The Stock tire option for the 930 911 Turbo would look like this..

▪️Tire brand Pirelli Cinturato P7(Comfort Hard)
▪️Front tires Comfort Hards
▪️Rear tires Comfort Hards

I wanna keep it as realistic during driving as possible so there will be NO

▪️Auto-drive
▪️Drive line Assist
▪️Brake indicator
▪️Low fuel indicator

The last information I have for now will be the driving camera view. I want to only use interior view. I myself am faster in bumper cam but I love the dynamics the interior view brings! I love the fact on how some cars are easy to navigate while in the interior view, vs some other cars are more challenging to get the right apex. To take it even further depending on the car will dictate if you are allowed to use the hud during driving. Let’s use the 930 911 turbo, this car didn’t have digital gauges, GPS systems, tire pressure gauges. It was all analog and with that said when driving the 911 turbo ‘81 The Hud/ Show race Info option would look like this..

▪️Show race Info Off.

This is a small example on what’s to come dealing with this project. If you have any questions please ask me and I will do my best on answering them.

Bro I definitely understand where you are coming from my bad, with the McLaren review and driver challenge I was going to explain the event. First let me get the ownership of a car details squared away for you. When I say own a car, I mean it’s yours during any, league play, or any event when it comes to bringing your own car. For example, let’s say you own a lightly tuned GTR, and the event we were running was (Bring your own car) Midnight cruise on Tokyo 20 laps. You could enter that event because in this project you are considered to be the owner of a GTR. You could only enter in with the GTR and nothing else.

With this McLaren MP4-12C in this pretrial-event I have prepared a driver's challenge. I am acting as if McLaren is running an event letting drivers test out the MP4-12C. So, as a driver in this event, you have a chance to test your skills in a MP4-12C OWNED BY MCLAREN. This is why I needed everyone to have the same lava orange 12C we are going to act as if we are all driving the same car one by one. A challenge amongst drivers using McLaren's 12C.

So again, this 12C is acting as a car we are just borrowing from McLaren to compete in their event. Vs if there is a car you like in GTS/7 it would be yours to use in any bring your own car event. I will be releasing more info on the McLaren EVENT soon. Sorry for the mix up and please ask me any questions you have made great points I will step my game up.

I wanted to run this McLaren event as a pretrial and get the info after the event so when we do the Porsche or Ferrari event it’s a full go!

McLaren MP4-12C ‘10
Review

What comes to mind when you hear the word supercar? Flashy, extravagant, bold, loud, compromised. Those would be just of the few words in the family tree describing your normal supercar. Not this incognito agent, this silent killer can sneak past you without you knowing it. Secret agent would perfectly describe the 12C, composed fast and business oriented. You want to go grocery shopping for a couple of things? the 12C can easily do that. Maybe you're on your favorite backroad and want to attack the turns, yup the 12C has you covered. You couldn't possibly take your 12C to your local track and drive back home in it after a couple of hard sessions, nope that won't be a problem either. The 12C has you fully covered in all aspects when it comes to driving. Fast comfortable and exhilarating.

Driving the 12C is a wonderful experience! With F1 technology running throughout the cars nervous system it is not hard to find a comfortable setting to satisfy your driving passion. Soon as you hit the throttle and hear the low grunt from the 3.8 twin turbo V8 you get the sense this car is all business. Don't let the 600 horsepower make you nervous, being so versatile with two different driving options Handling & Performance mixed with 3 different modes for each setting Normal, Sport, Track you are bound to find what suits you best in the MP4-12C. Speaking on the handling characteristics once again McLaren has set the bar with its technology eliminating tradition rollbars for McLaren special tech within the suspension. This mean the 12C can takes bumps as smooth as your daddy old caddy or stick to Eau Rouge on spa like a fly on flypaper. The brakes can make you feel like any F1 superstar diving late into a corner. McLaren uses its F1 tech to deploy a motorizes wing activated under hard braking over 60mph. You can also set the rear wing in different positions to look cool driving around town.

The 12C receives its undercover title in my opinion mainly from the sounds and styling. First, I want to say I love the sound the short block twin turbo V8 makes. Put the powertrain in track mode and the engine lights up! The unique McLaren V8 makes a sound my ears love, the problem though in supercar standards it not as impressive especially if you compare it to its 458 nemeses. Same can be said about the styling, well more so exterior than interior. The interior for a 2010 car still looks up to date. Wrap in the safety net of the fully carboned monocoque the driver’s safety is top concern. Look around the interior, carbon fiber, alcantra, and McLaren tech swarm the inside. I mean you can literally browse GTPlanet on the floating center console which looks like a huge computer screen. The driving view is superb, big clear and low, you can easily see the front fenders and use them as your guides. Look in the rearview you see the glorious McLaren V8. Looking at the car from outside it gives majority of people the oh that's a nice car. That is not enough of a reaction when it comes to supercars according to supercar law. I like the low key clean subtle lines the 12C has. The Exhaust placement above the rear bumper looks gorgeous, but also has functionality making the 12C performance better. I am not the supercar lord though and in terms of supercar looks it falls under the line for that.

Inconclusion I am glad McLaren invited me for the day to review the McLaren MP4-12C, it is a true super car even if it defies the supercar gods being low key. You can pick up one of these bad boys for around 100-150k or 60-80 salvaged. Extremely tempting to go to the bank and take a loan out for one but I would probably have to live in it! Hey at least I could go on GTPlanet using the center computer screen. Keep a look out for the McLaren team to host an event showcasing the 12C, I heard they were going to bring the P1 GTR to also show the fans.

Project GT-R in collaboration with McLaren will be hosting a challenge for drivers to come test their skills in the MP4-12C '10. Drivers will be able to drive the 12C in its 3 unique modes, comfort, sport, and track for all bragging rights. Drivers will be required to stay either in the left lane or right lane for the entire lap for validation. Lap times will not be the only factor, drivers will also be graded on how efficient they stay within the street lines. There will be a timed lap/efficiency lap recorded in each mode with the fastest times/efficiency earning drivers the most points. Once the points are added up there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, place drivers! Make sure to be extremely safe and have a good time!

Tips from McLarens Test Driver

"Welcome to the Mclaren Drivers Challenge, you will get to experience our supercar MP4-12C on the demanding streets of Sardegna. Sardegna as a full-blown road track can be demanding if you didn't know already. As a street course it is even harder! You have to be 100% focused throughout the entire lap. Remember these are not track or high end street tires, the OEM Pzero's will breakout easily under hard acceleration. Use the cars driving modes to your advantage, but also remember especially in track mode the car can still get loose. Towards the end of the street course is a nice track portion with no street lines take advantage of this section as a lot of time can be gain there. Be extremely careful coming from the long straight into the first turn brake early to insure clean entry into the beginning of the street course. Be safe, bring the car back safe, know your limits and have a good time experiencing our supercar!"

Just wanna thank everyone who attended The McLaren event, it was a pleasure to watch you guys/girl compete. Thank you for the positive feedback. The most impressive thing was nobody crashed and took caution going around the streets, I was excited to hear how everyone was actually scared and nervous while driving. Normally you don’t get a fear factor because it’s a game. I’m really trying to put the fear factor in PGTR makes driving and competing more exciting. I will post the winners as soon as I go through all the information. Once again I appreciate everyone’s help have a great day!
