Just did a test run with the McF1 with everything off and Sport hard on the Alp track while raining an I have to say, this machine is a masterpiece. Even without ABS and with wet track condition set to real that car was still easy to handle. Actually what I did was went into forth or fith gear. The brakes were almost not needed. The F40 would have already stalled or needed much lower gears, which would also require the brakes. But without ABS it would have been pritty damn difficult.
But even braking isn't that hard on the McF1. It quickly starts to get locked tires but they also immidiatly stop when you go off the breaks. The F40 still somehow goes on sliding, even after releasing the brakes. That is really annyoing but also makes the challeing fun.
Also the F40 needs, in my case, the usual old school 'interval breaking', but no matter what, the F1 still doesn't get out of control, even on wet when I push the breaks hard. But of course I had to be very foresighted with braking and accelareting, compared to cars with ABS and TCS and what ever. Even braking before that small red indicator starts to flash.
But don't think I just managed some amazing lap times. I was about half a min to one min behind my own McF1 with all aids on. Hey it was raining afterall.
The F40 is still more fun. It's just a raw machine. It feels not really ment to be easy at all, even a challenge for pro drivers. The F1 is like a rocket powered race car for the average guy around the corner.
Let's see what the Cobra does to me.
update on the Cobra:
cool car

. Awsome sh**. Almost like being on good drugs. Second and 4th gear are the best. Full throttle in second and the I don't loose control, even on wet track with sport hard, amazing! pure car porn. Easier to handle then the McF1 but tends to oversteer in such a nice way. I never felt the way that I lost the control. Always knew what to do.
When I drive the F40 with everything set to real, it always feels like the car drives/controls me not me driving/controlling it, often ending off road without knowing why.
Not with the Cobra. OK, I end up off road as well. I'm not a pro driver after all, but then I immediatelly know why.
Small little badass Cobra.
