Nicolas Cage is Uri an arms dealer, he also recruits his brother as his partner. His wife (the gorgeous) Bridget Moynahan is suspisious of his rich life style but dosent want to know & Ethan Hawke is a fed who wants to bust him.

Cage as always is excellent, he is always so watchable. As is Ethan, but thats already a problem, Ethan is hardly in this, he is a "and" and it shows, he is criminally under-used. But all the main cast are good, with the also ever good Ian Holm.

There's nothing particularly wrong with this film, its just a bit to long & just not very engaging, you don't care for any of them, no matter how good an actor you are, there just isn't anything to care about.

This isn't one of my best reviews, but its hard to sum up. Its almost more of a drama. There is very little action for it to be classed as an action film, but its not thrilling enough to be a thriller. But it is very well made/shot & has some kool camera work.

(a low) 7/10

And you know what, I agree sompletely, I kind of left the cinema thinking, that was okay but could have been better. There was nothing wrong with the filming or the acting, it was the pace that I think stopepd it from being a really good movie, if they focused on a few more engaging strands of the plot more and paced the film more evenly rather than a few months or even years suddenlly passing every now and then.

I liked it..

Strong intro..strong ending..it's the meat that just didn't seem to be there..

Could have been a GREAT story..but i guess they missed out due to time...

Lord of war + 1 more hour..could have been wonderful

Yeah, it was stung by time I guess, they threw too much in with not enough time covering certainaspcts of the story. I mean the acting was great, really great, I just left the cinema feeling like it was good but could have been so much more.

I dont think making it longer would have been a good thing. It felt far to long as it was. But then again maybe fleshing out the plot alot more might be an advantage. Decisions decisions!

They COULD..have just left out some of the uneccisary stuff in the movie..but then it'd feel like holes..yeah Can't decide..

great movie though

It felt long, but it wasn't boring. I could have carried on watching it for longer, like I said, I didn't find it a great movie but not bad either. I can't pinpoint exactley what was wrong with it but it's a missed opportunity for a potential classic imo. I think making the story deeper and creating more reasons to care about the characters would have benefitted the film.

Hopefully nic does a better job in the Weatherman.👍

I'll still go and watch this tho. The bullet hair just looks cool on the posters,.....I know I'm a slave to advertising.
