Lowest points in a race you didn't win...

Well, the title says almost everything. :) The lowest A-spec points count in a race you didn't win. Try not to mention races where you lost on your own mistakes (spins, crashes, etc.).


The lowest points count I can remember at the moment is the endurance race at the Motegi Oval where it said that it was a 9 point race when I entered with the Mereceds-Benz AMG CLK-GTR Race Car. The tyres got bad much faster than my opponents (even with Super Hards) without me being the fastest driver on track.


Otherwise it has been the Dirt and Snow Rally events that has been hard for me, even 1pt races. :crazy:
 
Can't rememeber wich race but I managed to lose a 7 a-spec race with my Pagani (1st time I drove it) beacuse of I spun out several times and those ****ing brakes didn't do anything.
Well, I just sold it after that race 👍
 
1 point :crazy: race in the 8-9 hour Endurance race at Montegui road cource, in my red Mitsu Tarmac road car. :ouch: :dunce:
 
A 4 point race in the Classic Car Cup. I took a stock Ginetta G4 and creamed four of the competitors into the first corner - no problem. The guy in the lead though was in a Buick Special. I had no chance. Trundled round for the practice and missed out on 4 whole points.

I then rerun this race in a modded Mercury Cougar for 1 point. This time the fast guy was an AC 427. I lost that one too... :(
 
Not counting 1pt races I've quit, dirt and snow 1pt, too many damn 5 second penalties :sick:.
 
I can't seem to win the Peugeot 206 race no matter what I do to the car. I think it's down to around 6 points now.
I also had a really hard time at cathedral rocks II (med), which was one point. By the time I'd got to the hard levels I'd figured out how to wall ride efficently.
 
Apart from the Ice Courses, World Classic is probably the worst.

Haven't checked but I'd say a '63 Vette against a 427 will probably net around 3p and you'll still lose.
 
I believe it was the world classic. I took a modded Plymouth Superbid (630HP and 1550kg) and it only gave me 1 point. The lead car was Buick Special, and it left me in the dust. 👎

strangly the exact same deal , i would even have the lead for some time then BAM, i HAD to pit way too early even with the super hards
 
I lost a 1 point race in the World Classic Car event in the professional league. I was in the Mercury Cougar and got whupped by an AC Cobra. My Cougar was nowhere near fast enough.

I did that series with a chevelle and I think it was a 1 point race. After I got my a** torched by the 427 the first time I had to keep entering and exiting till it wasn't there.

Did you have an extra Turbo on it? Did you have a couple crappy LM cars show up?

That would explain the points. The loss is because the CLK doesn't have the downforce of the Group C/LMP cars and Motegi Speedway has everything to do with downforce!

Other than that it would be the Speedway 150 on the F1 car (3 pts). Damned Peugot 905 beat me by 9 seconds because he only pitted ONCE and I had to pit 9 times!
 
I've lost by more, if I get too many of them penalties IO get frustrated and start gettign even more :banghead:. Though I usually tend to quit and restart rather than run 30 seconds behind getting penalties every sharp corner I come to.

Ditto.

For races that don't have a stupid 5-second penalty and an opponent vehicle that runs on rails, though, I think that I lost a 4-point race because I was running soft tires instead of hards, so I had to pit.
 
I've lost about 5 or 6 races because the stupid AI driver rammed into my rear and gave ME a 5 sec penalty right at the last turn!
 
the super speedway endurance in the CLK race car (was like 2 points) and the suzuki concept cup, the hardest 8 point races ever

How did you get it down to 6 points? I upgraded everything and could not get it any lower than 40 or 80.
 
I found the Opel manufacturer's races pretty tough.
I had to quit-out and retune several times.
I had no problem with that though....I like a challenging race as opposed to barging out to the front of the pack and leading by 10 secs after the first lap.
 
The ice 1 pointers where you spend most of the time backwards, collecting 5 secs... jeez how many quits have I done on these!!!!

Yes, I had two Turbo upgrades on it.

The cars I remember turned up was the Nissan R89C and R92CP, Peugeot 907(?) and the Chevrolet Camaro LM car.

Ehhh... yup, that's why. The Turbos aren't very helpful since Speedway has everything to do with downforce.
