Philadelphia signs Hamels to a 6 year extension.

Update: Dodgers may be having a Miami Marlins-like trade blitz. Already added Hanley. Rumors are surfacing that they can add BOTH Dempster and Pence/Victorino.

Shields now in discussion for Texas as well.

Greinke may be going to Atlanta.

So I'm definitely going to the game on Saturday for the free Justin Upton bobble head giveaway, but my boss came in this morning and handed me a voucher for 3 free tickets for Sunday's game too! :D

I'll take them
*quickly realizes he's not in Arizona*

Sadness reigns in NYC.

Breaking news: Marlins looking for new 3rd baseman that knows how to button a shirt.

Yep, its 6. Nah, I can't go to a ballgame Sunday anyways.

Does he have to be a professional? Omnis is the Miami front office drunk on stupidity I mean they go on saying this will be a good team and then 6 months later its a fire-sale.

Weaver is now 13-1 on the year. :) We could have players win both MVP and Cy Young.

Another Blue Jay off the the casualty ward - JP Arencibia out 6 weeks with a broken hand

Jason Kubel now with 11 home runs for the month of July. :D

David Samson is an underpants gnome and Loria is a clueless idiot. I'm just glad I don't live in Miami.

Ha. I agree wholeheartedly with this guy. Loria is such a scumbag. The Marlins ownership should have been sold to the fans the way the Green Bay Packers are organized. The fanbase is small and passionate, but they could have raised plenty of capital even though a lot of them don't actually show up.

I just hope the fish don't go the way of the Expos. Loria should be kicked out of MLB.

Currently losing 4-1. Figures, Giants finally lose a game and we ruin a chance to make up a game.

JUST WRAPPED UP... God must hate the Astros or something. Last night, it was a 2-1 lead for Houston heading into the 9th inning that led to a 4-2 win for Cincinnati. Tonight, it was a 3-2 lead for the Astros heading into the 9th inning that led to a 5-3 win for Cincinnati. Again- baseball gods are NOT smiling on the Astros' fortunes.

Guess what? The Pirates will be in Houston for a four-game series, and Wandy Rodriguez will be one of the Pittsburgh Pirates' pitchers in this series. How convenient- the guy who pitched his entire career for Houston now plays AGAINST the sinking ship known as the 2012 Houston Astros. Texans' football can't come any sooner the way this crappy season has been.

Maybe I should stop posting about my Astros until we finally win a game for a change. Either that, or if we actually surpass the 1889 Cleveland Spiders for the longest losing streak in MLB history (the 1889 team lost 24 straight games)...

Mets are in the same boat as you are, as are the Marlins. Omnis, you and I really should do a comedy routine about our teams. If only Omnis remembered his jokes :sly:

We're gonna lose tonight. Bleh. :yuck:

On a positive note, anyone see the A's game today?

So Hanley is 2-4 in his debut with a triple.

....and we lost. Great way to capitalize on both teams ahead of you in the standings losing guys.

Miley vs. Harvey tonight. I am fairly sure Arizona is going to win but in the past we have really hit the ball well at Chase Field.

Yeah the Mets may be on a slide, but this series has me nervous. :nervous:

Won't make a difference. We can't play spoiler properly anyways.

Dylan Bundy has a nasty curve ball. Jesus.

Which didn't happen. Told you I was nervous about this series, and now you see why. I just hope your pitcher tires quickly.

Nothing to worry about. We're gonna lose once the bullpen comes in.
