Diamondbacks may be making a huge move involving Upton. Won't be Garza. Can't see it being Shields or Josh Johnson. COULD see it involving Boston.

The update on this, according to mlbtraderumors.com:

12:46pm: The Diamondbacks are not currently discussing a deal with the Cubs involving Upton and Garza, reports MLB.com's Steve Gilbert. It was only Olney's speculation in the first place.

Oh, well last I heard a deal involving Upton was "highly unlikely" according to Kevin Towers, so.....

Edit: Corbin scratched from his start in Triple-A.
 
Schierholtz and Seth Rosin in addition to Joseph going to Philly.

Dusk I meant... Haha... I guess you could say my head is in the dawn. :dunce:

I was worried for a moment because a there was an update saying that no Pence deal was finalized... But now that I hear he has past the physical it sounds like it is.

Also sounds like we are shipping Schierholtz and possibly a minor league pitcher. I wish the best for Schierholtz, a classy player and once power OF prospect ruined by the hand of Bochy. Consistent playing time is something he needs. You will find no better defensive player in RF. In simply has never made a mistake, its almost uncanny. Crazy powerful arm too.

Denard Span may be moving while Cliff Lee likely won't be.
 
Seth Rosin. Bullpen piece, he is a big guy with good stuff, 10.9k/9... That's almost Romo territory. Well at least good Romo when his slider isn't hanging. But he goes through these rough patches on occasions.

KT already said it's "highly unlikely" he's going anywhere, so I don't think you'll see anything unless it's for a REALLY good player.
 
Who knows. I just hope they don't try to acquire another outfielder to replace him. Parra deserves to be on the field every day.

I still wouldn't make that trade if I were Arizona. I would prefer getting a decent pitcher AND good prospects for Upton, not a pitcher who's what? 30?
 
Pirates pitcher AJ Burnett is currently just over 7 innings into a no hitter.

Edit: With 2 outs in the 7th and on a 3-2 count, the Cubs finally got a hit.

Bummer.

I was typing up my reply saying 4 outs left, and the pinch hitter just broke it up :(

still, it was a heck of a time watching this one out at the bar.

The last time I have seen a pirates team this good, I was 6 years old (that means it was 20 years ago, when barry bonds was still skinny)

sidenote...I love travis snider so far.
