Don't think it should be for married men. The league can be for anyone, of any gender for that matter even though I haven't seen any moms with kids playing GT on here who has a family with kids.

ive tried to move her over to gt5 but she just says i cant do that ****
 
37 yo father of 2 girls (sigh) 4 yo and 1.5yo (i call her the devil with curls haha)

I race after they go to sleep @ 9pm to 9.30pm, same time the wife washes up dishes.

Cut off time is 12.30 as i have to get up for work @ 6am (for more driving!)
 
Wow, glad to see so many dads out there still finding time to play GT5, I need to show this thread to my wife so she can understand that its not just me! :)

My little guy is 14 months, and due to this (and our smallish size co-op) I can't leave my G25 out and about, so I need to fold up my Fanatec wheel stand and hide it in the closet everyday, but it is such a pain to repeatedly have to do this everyday. So unfortunately, my grinding is being done with the controller on weeknights, and my REAL driving enjoyment of GT5 (consisting of mostly hot lapping my fav cars) are done on weekends when time permits.

25 years old and married with a 7 year old step son and 10 month old son.

I also have a demanding military career so my playtime is maybe 10 hours a week. B- Spec does come into play alot. Start a race come back and restart it. Still earning credits while hanging with the family. I'm glad B-spec is there.
 
Well I'm 22 with a little boy coming up for 1 in a few weeks, so far ive managed to get onto level 23 A-Spec and 17 B-Spec. I usually get some GT5 time when the other halfs out workin, as I'm on holiday til the 3rd of january. I work a minimum 38 hours a week and so does the misses, although both of us work on a shift pattern. B-Spec helps massively, letting the game play itself basically.
 
Hi all, i'am 32 years old, and in 4 months i will be proud owner of a boy. My dream was to make twins so i can have an excuse to buy two more LCD tv, and two more steering wheels but that will have to wait. It's nice to hear that most of you have time to play GT5, even if it's 2 or 3 hours a week, cause that gives me hope. My missus doesn't like video games, but she doesn't give me hard time because of it (not what you all are thinking :-p). Mostly we don't watch that much TV, she likes to read books :-), so i have TV for me most of the time. Right now i can play for 4 or 5 hours straight, and still she doesn't complain.

I would love to participate in a Dady's league

I'm 36, married, and no kids yet but we've got baby fever. I think it's interesting how many people on this thread have G27's and playseats. I was laid off recently so my only responsibilities are keeping the house clean and cooking. Fortunately, the wife has a great job. Despite my free time I don't play GT5 (or any video games) all that much. I think I'm level 17 on A Spec. Hats off to all the fathers who assume responsibility of the children until bedtime when they come home from work. That's my lofty goal when we have kids one day. =D
 
I'm similar, except I have a newborn (6 weeks). What I've done is schedule time to play, I host a racing league for another website. We race weekly at a set time. My wife is great, she lets me have that time, plus I manage to sneak in a bit more time at random. I'm level 20 but only thanks to the seasonal events.

I posted in here fella but my Fiancée and myself are not married, we have been together for 15 years though so as near as can be.

We will tie the knot someday.:)

Heh, yeah. Better to get married later than sooner just to have a divorce if things end up not working out. So many people seems to take a huge sigh of relief after getting married, and ends up taking everything for granted.

In my younger days I would not have been into b-spec at all. For the family man I think b-spec is pretty sweet. If this next one is another boy I'm going to name him bob.
 
Here's an offer for all you Dads out there struggling to find time to level up...

This morning my Bobs won an X1 (X2010) when they finally got to level 35. I don't really need it as I already have 2 from the Vettel Challenges (one of which is undriven and one gets used for B speccing) and it's not a car I enjoy driving.

If someone from this thread would like it I'd be happy to send it on the condition that it gets duped and the copied car gets sent on to another 'dad' and so on and so forth. The Bobs really like the X1 as you can stick them in it and send them on their way without needing to babysit them... leaving you free to enjoy your family :)

Just in case you don't know what duping is...

You will need 2 PSN accounts... Save your main account game. Send the X1 from your main account to your 2nd account. Reload your main game save. Send the X1 back to your main account from your 2nd account... bingo, you have 2 X1's. Wait for the next day and you can then send the copy to another dad :)

I'm going to assume that if you're responsible enough to have children and you're a GT fan you'll honest enough abide by the agreement.

If anyone wants to take on the responsibility for receiving the car drop me a PM with your PSN... I'll send you an in game friend invite (which you'll need to accept)... once this is done I'll send you the car.
 
Last night after I put my boy to bed I had a quick attempt at building a "cockpit" out of his old high chair.

It worked ok, except for the pedals. I'm going to try to fix them up this evening.

I had got my two boys their own PS3 and GT5. As well knowing I was getting the G27, I got them the DFGT.

BEST MOVE EVER! They haven't asked to play my PS3. hahahaha

This is tempting, however I plan to achieve one myself through racing.

If I fail to make it that far in the next few weeks then I prob be interested in this deal.

Which is awesome. Enjoy it!

However when you have a child you will then realize that you at 18 was not nearly as fulfilled as us parents. ;)

Seriously though enjoy your younger years and do what you want with in reason and respect.

Yes, 'glitching' cars is possible, but unreliable as you need to hit the power off button at the right time. Duping has been 100% reliable for me (I always send a paint 1st as a test).

Are you able to DumbDown how Duplicating works. I would like to Duplicate a couple cars to give to some people like the X2010 and 787B
 
Im just stuck on the Reloading part. Is there a Manual Load button. To load from the Previous save point because im not sure if it saves the game after sending gifts.

Pretty neat thread. Like someone else said here, why aren't there any mothers playing GT5? Perhaps things are a bit gendered still.

I would make the suggestion, however. The same way you get your time off from the kids, you should allow your wives to do the same. Heck, mothers work sooo much. My mom has had it tough, being a single mother and all. She doesn't like these things but I always encourage her to spend time with her friends in order to escape the bill paying, her work, etc.

My wife plays sometimes. The night I got my DFGT, she comfortably beat me around Daytona, much to my chagrin (her on the wheel, me on the controller). :)

Duping...

1. Create a 2nd PSN account
2. Load GT5 on that account (you will need to set up your profile and buy a car, nothing else)
3. Send a PSN friends request to your main account
4. Go to your main account and copy your game save to a USB
5. While there, accept the friends request from your 2nd account
6. Boot the game
7. Send the car to your 2nd account via the gifting process
8. Quit the game, switch to your 2nd account and load the game
9. Your 2nd account will now have the car gifted from your main account
10. Send the car back to your main account via the gifting process
11. Quit the game and switch to your main account (do not boot the game)
12. Copy the game save on the USB back on to your PS3 (it will tell you there's a file with the same name and ask you if you want to over write it... click 'yes')
13. Boot the game
14. you will now have your original game save with the car and also have a gift of the same car from your 2nd account

If all you want to do is send a car to mate you can just save your game, send the car then re-load your save... your mate has the car and you still have it.

I use the process for buying big ticket cars (anything over 1 million)... save my game, buy the car, send it to another account, relaod my save and then send the car back to my main account... meaning I have the car and haven't lost any credits.

The limitation is the 1 trade a day limit... meaning it's only really any good for very expensive cars.

Im in the same boat, but I multitask. I get home and watch the lil one from 530 til bed time, which is anywhere from 830-930. While Im watching her, I will let bspec run. Im almost level 32 in bspec and have 2 lvl 30 drivers. I was only level 21 aspec until I finished the x1 challenge which shot me up to 27.

I usually only get to play aspec from an hour or so at night, or I get a few hours on weekends. Wifey likes facebook games and yahoo games, so she plays on the pc, which is in the same room, after the baby goes to bed. Sometimes, Ill get lucky and have 2-3 hours at night after the baby goes to bed and I stay up waiting for wifey to get home from work.

I'm 31, married, but no kids yet. During the past several years I've typically spent maybe an hour tops, sometimes less and sometimes none at all, gaming per day. It isn't so much just because I'm married as much as I just can't stand to sit there with a game for very long in a sitting anymore and there's other stuff I kill time with besides just gaming. However, some certain types of games can keep me busy for a bit longer.

Due to the limited time I spend gaming, it takes me forever to progress through anything. Even short games that can be completed in a handful of hours still takes me several days or even a couple weeks. Last week I got a short stack of games that are each good for between a couple dozen and 40+ hours, so that should keep me busy for a good half year, I guess, not to mention that I've had GT5 since release (I spent about a year on FM3 and only got about 80% completion, I think, and that was logging like 500 hours).
 
31, Married, 3 year old daughter, 6 month old son. 23 A-spec and 15 B-spec.

I play from 8 or 8:30 until 11 or 11:30. Weekends sometimes during nap time. The 24hr endurance races are going to last about 2 weeks, and I better remember to turn off the "auto off" feature that is on my PS3 because my 3 year old likes to leave it on after watching Dora (it doubles as our DVD player).

"Marital Relations" is another issue - I hate to admit it, but if I am in the middle of an a-spec race and the wife calls me upstairs, I just can't concentrate on something else until I win. b-spec grinding, on the other hand, works really well :)
