Marunong kang magsalita nang Tagalog?

At least he searched.

And revived a thread that has been on the board longer than I have.

Stand back people, we have a master Necromancy on our hands, an expert in Threadomancy on top of that.

I'm surprised this tread never got locked, to be honest, given the AUP's standing on posting in foreign languages.

My bad. Gave the AUP a skim as well. Figured I should if I'm gonna be on the forum more often.

Sorry for the double post and going off topic (not that going off topic in this thread matters ) but I kinda need to find out for future reference.

Is it a bad thing to revive old threads? In my skim of the AUP I didn't see anything specific about the issue...although I'm guessing there has to be a reasonable limit on what's worthy of getting revived and what's not. I guess if the thread name wasn't in another language it wouldn't have been too much of a biggie...

It's generally looked down upon to revive threads without meaningfully adding to the discussion, or reviving threads with no real value (hint, this one), even if your post was on the original topic.

It's okay if you revive a thread with new info, for example, a year-old thread about aliens when there is confirmed footage of an alien sighting.
Bad analogy, I know

Chris.

Dumb threads like this, yeah. And also, use the edit button instead of double posting.

If there was a huge tagalog community here, this thread might be worth something if you were speaking of or had a question about tagalog posted in english. However, the only other tagalog-speaker on this whole forum seems to be NK4E, so it would probably be more appropriate to just message each other.

And now you can also make groups that tagalog speakers can join, and then you'll have a little group chat log that you can check aside from the main forums.

Alright then my mistake. Apologies to everyone who found the reviving of this thread annoying 👍.

Should probably get this one locked by an admin/mod sooner or later so it doesn't cause any more trouble.

It throws up a bit of nostalgia for some of us though. What ever happened to milefile, Akira and Klos? Klos used to crack me up!

Will do next time on any other post I make. Not sure if this is the place to ask but if a post gets editted will the thread get highlighted to show its been updated?

I'm kinda new to the idea of actually being a member on an online forum (as you can probably see) and it will take some time to get used to how everything works (posting behaviour, technical details, etc.). Most of us new members with some level of maturity usually try hard to keep within what's reasonable but we can't be expected to know everything from the get go...

No, but chances are it'll still be highlighted for most people whether you edit or not. I guess it's acceptable to double post if the thread is as old as this one. But these are things you ask Famine about.

Cool, thanks for the tips and advice Omnis and WallRunner 👍. Will bookmark Famine or something in case I have a question of some sort in the future

You can always start a Filipino racing series. Be it weekly, monthly just like our GTP WRS. You can also organize an online meet and start a leader board for Filipinos here. Just so this thread is not pointless and makes us look like we have nothing better to do than just calling out Filipino insults. Louie_Schumii (Luis) you should take the lead if you already bought a PS3 and be a model to what a good Filipino racer should be. I would really like GT5 to have the Philippine flag represented in the game for Filipinos and what better way can we show that we deserve to be represented by show of froce here in GTPlanet. So lets try to keep it fun but clean guys, just like how we like our racing.

Sounds good Rad. Definitely up for it! :D

Thanks for taking the lead. So now we just need Filipinos that actually wana race online and add a PSN account with the GTP_PI_(PSN ID) tag on it so that we can identify them online when we are racing in the GT5p online event or if there are more Forza or any other racing games you guys want to meet.

Luis, you can just start from scratch and start a whole new thread that has a title that says "Filipino GTPlanet racers signup here!" and you can go from there. Try to stay on topic and explain what you are trying to do. Which is organise a regular race series were you can share lap times and setups for the online race series you want to put together and haow to sync up online through the GT5p clock. all you need to do is post the "minute times" the race starts and if it's time trials on a particular track just name the track car and settings. Take a cue from EDK or Vaxen they organize the WRS (Weekly race series) and it's well organised.

Check this link to see how well organized they are: http://wrs.gtplanet.net/

Here is another link to the weekly race.https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=126913

Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to help as much as I can. EDK and Vaxen are actually in SFGT LAN group and they are great guys to know and race with I'm sure they will be willing to guide you through your Filipino race group if you can pull this off. Good luck! and I'll see you at the track.
