i have been racing in the NA event in amature.
i have managed to get 2 gold medals on the first 2 races, but cannot get better than silver on the 3rd race, and am about to give up on it :(
i saw online that you get the mazda rx8 if you get gold on all three races, is this a good car to have?

rofl :) slammin86 its a fun car to tune and drive around for fun..not the best car to have but fun to have...i would keep at it and try to get it :D

I like the RX-8 quite a bit. So, yes. And if you're like me, you'll eventually want to win all the races anyway. Takes a long time, but it's fun.

Don't completely give up. One of the cool things about this game is you learn to get better as you play, mostly by figuring out the best lines around the track and how to handle the cars. Might just move on and come back if you're getting frustrated. Or just run some practice laps with a few cars.

I may be odd, but I'll often just take a fav car and zip around a track a few times to see how quickly I can do it, even long after getting 100%.

I've used the RX-8 fairly extensively, and it has potential. Not as much as other cars, but still good. You do realize you can use a different NA car in this race, Right?

The series races are the only ones that you need to stick with the same car for. You can use anything all the way up to an F1.

Try a slightly more powerful car than you're usin gnow.

Best of luck

What NA Tuned cars do you have? As for the Mazda, its only your average concept car. Go for the Nissan Z. More top speed and more power fully tuned is what you can get out of this. ;) Also have a long and prosperous stay at GTP and do not give up on the last race in Amateur NA series. :)

LOL rumple...

The RX-8 is a competitive racer if you know how to drive it to it's full extent. I have won many races with it, and it's a blast to drive(cause the 9K redline and clear sounding Renesis rotary engine. The prize one has 515HP at max, while the show room one has 495 or so(why am I telling you this...I got it with the GS code that way(after I had won it from both the licence test, the NA race, and the other race).

When you get it, you need to buy a racing trans, and do some precise tuning. You should make 1st gear so that it wants to spin the tires, but it won't(the "grip limit" theory of mine, it works on all cars for that matter). Then the remaining 5 gears should be set so that the RPM going into the next gear doesn't drop below 6-7K rpm so that you have the maximum power as soon as you shift. You should drive it right up to the rev limiter(find it, and shift right before you hit it), it likes high RPM. I suggest leaving it with the stock suspension, it's made for the car, and I never had to buy racing suspension cause it is superb. Super-slick tires are great for it to(although, if you get the trans before tires, or if you switch tires, you might need to redo first gear to get to the "grip limit" for maximum acceleration). TCS and ASM should be totally off on it, as this will allow you to drift when needed(or for major fun)and also drive it more eficiently(the RX-8 likes to be flung around the track, ASM and TCS both restrict its ability to have fun and race well. If you like ASM and TCS, too bad, take them off and drive it and your skills will improve, and you will beable to race a ton better(both with the RX-8 and the other cars in GT3)and not depend on asistence from the game. Also use manuel trans(or auto if you use R2 to hole it in gear till right before the limiter).

Hope that helps, I'm an expert on all of the Mazda cars in the game(and in real life(I'm MazKid for a reason...)), and I'm glad to be of asistence.

Have fun!

Yes all hail the Mighty 5'3", 15.10 year old MazKid!

Changes a lot of stuff doesn't it...just ask Powerman, he was talking to me, and he asked me "what classes are you taking in college?"

Hehe, I'm too smart I guess.

Ohh and Slamin, I currently don't have my PS2, I sent it to be fixed at Sony(wouldn't read anything exept silver discs(DVD formatted software))and I'm going to be without it for 2 weeks or more, but I get it back with a new 90 day warrenty, and it's being fixed for free(plus shipping costs), so if you need any help, just ask, I can still help with the knowlage in my head, but I can't help you with some of the exact numbers...
