Matchmaking in GT7?

Quick question about GT7 matchmaking.

What’s the real logic behind lobby formation in Sport Mode? How does a B-rank driver consistently end up in lobbies that are almost entirely A or A+ — not once, but race after race, at different times of day?

Is it purely based on DR points rather than letter rank? Does SR weigh more? Or does qualifying lap time also influence matchmaking?

GT7 knows you are using an alt account

Its based on DR points, not the letters. So if you are B ranked (10.000 DR ~ 29.999 DR), but you are almost A ranked (30.000 ~ 50.000), like let's say you have 25.000 DR, it will be pretty common to be matched with A players.

Considering you're A ranked now, I think that was your case in that printscreen (it shows B, but you was probably close to 30K DR).

Mixing different ranks its more common in certain times of day, when the server isn't able to make a lobby with same AVG DR (same letters).

SR also is taken into account. Full S SR will be matched with others full S. If you don't have full S, you won't be matched with full S's. Low SR's wont be matched with S's, unless there is almost no player online.
