Matte Paint Gallery

Since the matte color chips are rare and so many people like the matte colors, it would be interesting to see what different cars look like matte.

So if you have painted anything matte let us see.

I've run out of room in this first post so I can't add any more pics to the front page without deleting some. I may go through and reduce each car to 1 pic so I can fit more.

And if your pics are bigger than 1200 pixels wide please reduce or use thumbs.

I'm not exactly sure if it works on PAINTED cars, but on my LF-A which it came stock I have got it 3 times now.



Yes I did it last night. I have not tried it on a car I've painted, but on a car that comes from the dealer with Matte Black paint I have received it a couple times now.

I'm quite happy with my how my Challenger came out in Matte Yellow.

I was stunned when I realised that fact. There's a bunch of small decisions like that… that I just can't comprehend.

This is off topic I know...but you know PD is doing a good job when you see a photo and know exactly in the world it is...because I have been there. Sienna right?

At least you'll know that when you make a decision to paint a car and it's rims, you'll have put soooo much though into it that it's likely the very best color combo ever...

...or you'll simply never use one because, like me, you can't decide on one and you don't want to feel like you've made a mistake.

Worst idea EVER. Do you guys think that they can patch in a livery editor?

Every time I think or see a matte paint coating, I always get the same tingling feeling when I scratch a painted wall. Or, a rusty piece of metal.

But, I never really liked matte. Probably for that wall or rusty scratching feeling, or maybe it just doesn't give the car a good shine. Who knows? 💡

I agree with you 100%, but I don't think its the worst ideal ever I like the idea it makes the paint more unique. This actually give a paint job value, such as that matte paint job on the Lambo. Its like having great paint which is a nice sports car, or some crappy paint like a old beat up car. I just wish they would let you preview it before painting.
