Nobody has asked the question as far as I know, but the answers to whether there is a maximum credit limit and what that limit is, are...

Yes, 20 million

👎 just lost hard earned endurance money because of this limit.

So I guess you get to 20 million, spend the cash on a car thats worth the full 20 mil (i forget the name of it) and then finally get the penniless trophy.

AA

You'd get 4 trophies if you did that:

1. Penniless - 0cr
2. Multi-millionaire - 20,000,000cr
3. Expensive car - 100,000cr
4. REALLY expensive car - 1,000,000cr

EDIT: For those complaining:

REALLY? The cap it 20,000,000, an amount that most people won't be getting for a while and it's more than the FM3 cap, and you're complaining about it? Really? Seriously? "I'm sorry sir, you can only have 20 million dollars," "That's it? But I wanted to buy Mars AND Pluto. Oh well."

2. Multi-millionaire - 20,000,000cr

I posted in Famine's trophy thread a while ago that Multi-millionaire is given at 10mill.

But yep, I'm looking forward to finally getting those three trophies after days of not spending a penny!! And it definitely makes getting the Penniless trophy a piece of cake.

As for people complaining, I'm one of those SuperShouden, and my beef is with the fact that there is a cap at all, as it would have been nice to know before I started the endurance that I was going to be losing most of the credits I was aiming to earn.

There being a limit in the first place is silly. It doesn't matter what it is set at.

I wonder anyone would ever buy a 20mil car with all their hard earned savings all at once especially when they are floating all over the market place.

That's a bit ridiculous, why is there shut or short cap on funds when they've got three cars in the game that are worth that much? SMH

The problem with there being no limit is that a computer cannot handle an "infinite" amount of credits. "infinity" is not a computable amount for a computer.
Therefore, a cap is REQUIRED for the game to function.

Now, that being said: They should have set it at something completely ridiculous, like 1,000,000,000,000,000 (aka: 1 quadrillion) credits. That is a computable value that would be nearly impossible to reach.

100,000,000 (100 billion) is a sufficient cap and I could have sworn that was a cap in a prior game.

This is weird. I can't imagine this is something they did on purpose. Tweet at Kaz about it I'm sure it can be raised to 200.000.000. Probably just some random shlub coder put this in at some point and nobody ever made a concious design decision here

Surely this one is a genuine oversight, maybe a missing 0 in the code? They can't have deliberately put in a credit limit which is equal to the price of some of the cars.

Hopefully this one gets fixed in the next update.

I am pretty sure that the X1 at the dealership is 40,000,000.00 I may be wrong.

You might be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if they intentionally put set it to an impossible price just to tease us

I love when fanboys try to bring their logic to the argument. Your reasoning for there being a limit is that most people will never reach it. Thats pretty weak. What happens in the OP's case, who just did endurance race and couldn't pocket the cash?

It's "only" 20 million.

Anyway, the limit should definitely be more than the most expensive car in my opinion. If you're saving up to buy one, you will end up losing credits as the OP did. In addition you'll be dead broke after you buy the car which would be somewhat annoying.

Actually they did the same thing GT5 Prologue the f2007 was only 2,000,000 back then and that was the cap as well

fixed.

If it was 20 billion, i would be happy as a clam.

The reason they have this limit is purely to make Penniless an attainable trophy. :dunce:

Now you whiny kids can go off an play NFS or something. Op sucks to be you man, really, i'd be pissed too but then I'd look at it like this. "Hey now I can buy one of those 20Million cred cars I'd never by any other way and now have a trophy, then I can sell it because I'm not going to race it more than MAYBE once.

What makes you think that Forza has a cap under 20 million? I can assure you that you are wrong as I have over 38 million in my Forza 3 account right now and over 800 million on my Forza 2 account.

That's not exactly sound logic, seeing as you start of with 20k and there are many options for dropping to zero immediately e.g.Eunos Roadster 91 +Ecu tune.
Programming an extra zero into a $ cap is incredibly easy, what I'm thinking is they're trying to make it so the 20mil cars are a bit more rare. Of course, people exploiting the Bday Gift kind of ruined that.

I dropped to 0 right away. Bought a kart for 5k did the first driving test and upgraded that POS Mazda from there with 15k worth of parts.

It would make more sense if the limit was a million-or-so more than the cost of the most expensive car... that's if there had to be a limit :(

That sucks, but thank you for reporting it. It is way too low - of all the things to carry forward from GT5P the credit limit = the most expensive car(s).

Oh and thanks for reporting the multi millionaire on the trophy thread. About a week ago I was about to give up that trophy chase and buy something as 20m was so far off, when I noticed your original post on it.
