Nobody has asked the question as far as I know, but the answers to whether there is a maximum credit limit and what that limit is, are...
Yes, 20 million
👎 just lost hard earned endurance money because of this limit.
2. Multi-millionaire - 20,000,000cr
There being a limit in the first place is silly. It doesn't matter what it is set at.REALLY? The cap it 20,000,000, an amount that most people won't be getting for a while and it's more than the FM3 cap, and you're complaining about it? Really? Seriously? "I'm sorry sir, you can only have 20 million dollars," "That's it? But I wanted to buy Mars AND Pluto. Oh well."

The problem with there being no limit is that a computer cannot handle an "infinite" amount of credits. "infinity" is not a computable amount for a computer.
Therefore, a cap is REQUIRED for the game to function.
Now, that being said: They should have set it at something completely ridiculous, like 1,000,000,000,000,000 (aka: 1 quadrillion) credits. That is a computable value that would be nearly impossible to reach.
I am pretty sure that the X1 at the dealership is 40,000,000.00 I may be wrong.
You'd get 4 trophies if you did that:
1. Penniless - 0cr
2. Multi-millionaire - 20,000,000cr
3. Expensive car - 100,000cr
4. REALLY expensive car - 1,000,000cr
EDIT: For those complaining:

Surely this one is a genuine oversight, maybe a missing 0 in the code? They can't have deliberately put in a credit limit which is equal to the price of some of the cars.
Hopefully this one gets fixed in the next update.
It's "only" 20 million.
Anyway, the limit should definitely be more than the most expensive car in my opinion. If you're saving up to buy one, you will end up losing credits as the OP did. In addition you'll be dead broke after you buy the car which would be somewhat annoying.

That's not exactly sound logic, seeing as you start of with 20k and there are many options for dropping to zero immediately e.g.Eunos Roadster 91 +Ecu tune. The reason they have this limit is purely to make Penniless an attainable trophy.![]()
That sucks, but thank you for reporting it. It is way too low - of all the things to carry forward from GT5P the credit limit = the most expensive car(s).Nobody has asked the question as far as I know, but the answers to whether there is a maximum credit limit and what that limit is, are...Yes, 20 million 👎 just lost hard earned endurance money because of this limit.
