... I downloade a 3 month old cloud save a while back that overwrote my in game progress.

Is this possible at all ? There was this thread how-to-back-up-your-gt-sport-data-pin-me.376193 months ago, and if I remember correctly, the conclusion was that neither USB save nor cloud save can overwrite the PD server save.
If you actually could return to an earlier state of the game, couldn't you definitely prove then that the daily carousel is predetermined ( or not ) ?

I think I mentioned it in the April thread, but upon booting up after the reset the game re presented me with my last 70 ish DWG cars all in a row (from the 3 months I had overwritten), and they were the same as the cars I had received in the prior 3 months. I was able to cross check this with my occasional posts in the DWG thread.
Interesting note, watching the wheel spin, several times it showed the silhouette of new cars that weren't in the game at that DWG wheel point in time.
As far as I know we're not supposed to be able to overwrite the PD server, but something bugged out for me on this one occasion and it happened.

Edit: I was planning to test this out at the end of the April marathon but then we went straight into the May thread and I don't want to corrupt any results.

Wouldn't that alone prove the DWG uses a set of parameters for each user that pre-determines what they car will get? If I had the time I'd make 2 new accounts to see what happens when I do the same things on both of them.

On another topic, my alternate account has received 5 '88 Lamborghinis in the last 30 days. I missed several days early on so I didn't record those cars in the first marathon thread.

I don't think so, the way I'm thinking it only conclusively proves that the other 3 cars on the wheel are nothing but distracting eye candy and they were never going to drop.
Also, when I went back to the 3 month old save I lost all progress that I'd made in that time (creds, mileage, and mileage points, sport mode wins and the rest along with the 10M Aston I'd bought lol and days logged on) so it seemed odd that it still re presented me with 70 dwg spins in a row to at least keep me on track with my progression in that.

I'm not sure why I miss-interpreted the names for these four cars. I have all four of them listed on my spreadsheet as the GR.3 version.
Especially strange is Rizla's car since he actually lists GR.X in his post, so I shouldn't have missed it!

Since my most recent tabulation at post # 323 in the April thread, there have been four additional cars added by four different drivers. So when I get a chance, I will go back and re-run my spreadsheet and update the overall tabulation.

I got mixed up, after the first month I deleted all the duplicates as I had not been deleting cars while doing the previous months marathon. This included the last car I entered here - the Chevy. I therefore have no point of reference to continue from, and the number of new cars in my garage is less than the number of slots to fill to get me up to date in this thread.

I think the last 5 cars at the top are all from May, BUT I can't be sure of this, or account for the difference, so think I should stop rather than give possibly innacurate data. I don't think the garage is bugged, but I also never intended to delete cars especially not before entering them here, so I can't think what went wrong!

After 931 gifts, our May marathon group has received cars with a credit value of $287,794,414 which just exceeds the total credit value ($287,788,290) of all the game's cars if only one of each car was received.
