I hardly consider the mclaren is a "standard production car". Its a super exclusive over priced car. Half a million £??? I mean come on its made of metal, just like a vw golf! For the price i'd go to an engineering company to build my own car. or i'll just throw half of it on a skyline, run GT races on it and use the other half to buy myself a yacht. Same goes for the stupid bugatti.
for the record 0-60 means JACK. 0-60 for cars over 300hp shows its traction. All manufacturers report this differently, some exagerate some over conservatively. A more meaningful comparison is a combination of 0-60, 0-100 and the 1/4 mile times for acceleration.
In sheer speed, i'd put my money on an EVO or a skyline... if u throw 20k on it u'll hit 1000hp and embarass a 500k car.

Well, actually the body is mostly made of carbon fibre, not metal. Although there are bits of gold in the engine bay. And it was £625,000 new. Like it or not, it WAS a full production car (the LM wasn't, but that's going all the way back to the start again).
The 0-60mph I (at least) have quoted are independently tested times. And for that £50k you spent you can buy a 650hp RS200 Evo - the car that holds the record for a 0-60mph time on a standard production car - and be in a very, very exclusive club. Unlike the Scooby/Evo, where there's one every damn corner in Essex...
