famine's right man if you don't believe him check it yourself moron

what u fail to realize is..i have seen billions more cars capable of doing 0-60 in less time than that...heard of a callaway sledghammer...veilside nissan skyline al those do 0-60 in under 3 seconds!!..simple fact!!

1 more thing..stay on that guisness book of records site and look at the most powerful production car..u may get a shock to realize its the mclaren..what i bin saying all along but also the site is well out of date as many cars exeed the power of the f1..just not the spec!

Didn't manage the Maths GCSE either then? I'm 26 in a fortnight...

My lovely redheaded girlfriend wouldn't be able to get me off the PS2 even if she wanted to. And, without wishing to take their names in vain, Mr. P and Lotus350 of these forums are older than I and married to each other, with 4 kids. Several people on this forum alone have kids older than you and play GT3.

Anyway, I await your apology for your insult. And the management of GTP await your apology for the outrageous anti-American racism you exhibited.

Looks like you didn't catch this before. I'm guessing your GCSE wasn't in English either.

Standard
Production
Road Vehicle

There is no standard production road vehicle that has ever broken the McLaren F1's top speed, the RS200 Evo's 0-60mph time or the McLaren F1's power output.

I say again:

Standard
Production
Road Vehicle

Got that yet?

Standard
Production
Road Vehicle

And there aren't a billion cars in existence. Once again the Maths GCSE lets you down.

Kenwood designed the CD player, NOT Sony. I believe it was a 10 disc changer. Also, if you want to know everything about the F1, buy the book Driving Ambition.
It's way awesome. I've read it twice.

That is, like, the OLDEST excuse in the book. IN actual fact it IS the oldest excuse in the book - since Abel tried blaming it all on his little brother. It worked then though.

BTW You might find it interesting (and some of the moderators here may too) that you have been banned from GT3Times due to your choice of username. I find it yet more interesting that you are British, and choose a username which, in popular British slang, means "active homosexual"...

ok, so with a waaaay huger engine, and FOUR!!! turbos, with 4 more cylinders, the bugatti can only hit 10 mph more than the mclaren??

pretty crappy if you ask me. the mclaren is king, even to the enzo. mclaren is only a 6 liter V-12, no turbos, and still 630 hp. the mclaren would own an Enzo at anything over 100 mph, i mean the enzo redlines in 6th at like 218 mph, owhile the mclaren still has much more breathing room.

and they made more than a hundred mclaren's, in different years. but more than a hundred have been built, and i think they still make them for custom orders.

anyways, the bugatti is gonna be stupid, just for rappers to buy and drive around and to crash.

My numbers say that the first McLaren F1 was completed for a customer on Christmas Eve 1993, and the last one was built in 1997 - a total of 100 cars exactly. This doesn't include the McLaren F1 GT or the 5 McLaren F1 LMs. The inital projection was 300.

Now. Name 5 places on the planet you can drive at over 200mph in a road car. Now how about public roads?

Tell me what's the difference between 220mph, 240mph and 250mph when you can't even use it...

fine you dont av to believe me i dont care...good point tho...anyway no tracks on earth acomodates speeds over 200mph..i thinks its due to safety...so in affect the LM is better than the original F1 becasue its gear ration and acceleration are quicker up to around 200mph..besides i found an even better car (matter of opinion)..the veilside 1999 aniversary toyota supra..acclaimed to be in gt4 and is very nice!!

Veilside kits are so-so and their kits for supras are lacking...Second, there's a video of a McLaren battling the Veilside Supra and the Supra gets owned like it isn't a thing...No dice.

My old signature said "I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent"... And since he's been banned now anyway there's little point.

If he were here, I would wonder, out loud, why if "no tracks on earth acomodates speeds over 200mph" (sic) the McLaren F1 set a 241mph time around a lap (Nardo, wasn't it?). But hey. Stupid is as stupid does.

I think what he meant by no tracks were made to accomadate 200MPH+ speeds is tracks that are used for racing (which doesn't include tracks that are used just only for testing new vehicles performances and such)

I can only think of 4 F1 circuits where the cars don't reach 200mph+ (well, some of them - the non-Renaults :D), plus there's a few million banked ovals in the US and Rockingham Speedway in the UK. And Paul Ricard (that straight... damn!).

But, alas, he's gone... :D

take the McLaren F1 to the autobon. That would be the crowning moment of anyones life. :)

Anyone who says the Veyron handles badly s'nt have good erodynamics does'nt know what they're on about, just cos it does'nt look like the Enzo it was still shaped in a wind tunnel and has been fine tuned there as well, also it hadles well according to motor journo's, it handles a bit too well actually so Bugatti have said they ned to make it a more comfey ride, it's actually no F1 rival it's for a different market which is why it's not a stripped out racer for the road like the F1 and Enzo but it is a very competent car.

I can name two tracks that have a average lap speed of over 200mph

Indianapolis and Michigan,

And also, HAsn't Millbrook nearly had a 200mph lap????

this is way off topic but have any off you guys seen the audi quattro s1

it was a group b rally car that was rumored to have 1000bhp !!!!

in a rally car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my god

i have a model of the f1 lm by the way, what a car

i can give you 1 reason that this car is so awesome

gordan murray, can u imagine if him and colin chapman had ever joined forces and made a car ?.

that would be something special

Colin Chapman died in 1991.

The Aud S1 Group B rally car had 450hp in full race spec - as did the Ford RS200 (my avatar). The RS200 still holds the world production car 0-60mph acceleration record...

I hardly consider the mclaren is a "standard production car". Its a super exclusive over priced car. Half a million £??? I mean come on its made of metal, just like a vw golf! For the price i'd go to an engineering company to build my own car. or i'll just throw half of it on a skyline, run GT races on it and use the other half to buy myself a yacht. Same goes for the stupid bugatti.

for the record 0-60 means JACK. 0-60 for cars over 300hp shows its traction. All manufacturers report this differently, some exagerate some over conservatively. A more meaningful comparison is a combination of 0-60, 0-100 and the 1/4 mile times for acceleration.

In sheer speed, i'd put my money on an EVO or a skyline... if u throw 20k on it u'll hit 1000hp and embarass a 500k car.

Well, actually the body is mostly made of carbon fibre, not metal. Although there are bits of gold in the engine bay. And it was £625,000 new. Like it or not, it WAS a full production car (the LM wasn't, but that's going all the way back to the start again :D).

The 0-60mph I (at least) have quoted are independently tested times. And for that £50k you spent you can buy a 650hp RS200 Evo - the car that holds the record for a 0-60mph time on a standard production car - and be in a very, very exclusive club. Unlike the Scooby/Evo, where there's one every damn corner in Essex...

For that price i dont even consider it a car, its production volume was so low. Besides, You can build a house out of carbon fire and gold it won't cost you £625,000. The only club you enter when you get a mclaren is "look I have no idea what money is worth, and I am an insult to all hard working people" club. Which is true.

a 625,000pound exclusive club, sure, buy a private jet, u'll be in an exclusive club too. I can't believe you're comparing 30grand evos in essex with this waste of money. The worst part is due to the mclaren's ridiculously high gearing well tuned evo (i.e JUN evo, HKS evo) would outpace it on most tracks. I hope they leave this junk out of the game.

I wasn't - I was comparing £30k + £20k tuned Essex Evos/Scoobies to a £50k Ford RS200 Evo... The club I referred to was the RS200 one, not the McLaren one.

They produced 100 McLaren F1s in total (not including LM or GT versions).

BTW do you not think that some hard-working people aspire to own a McLaren F1? Or do they become scum the moment they have money, regardless of how they got there?
