Me in a Denver Street Race

Thanx, it's really fun to drive because it's such a hardcore sleeper. NOBODY know what it is so everybody tries to race me. Rest in peace all you Civics:lol:
 
Damn........ lol havent seen you around........ I live in Denver too...... lol thats not one of the usual race spots...... not any of the one's i've been to at least....... where was that actually? I cant really tell just from the bridges in the backround.
 
Well, I actually live in Aurora. I just put Denver to make it easier on everyone else. As for the spot where the race was, I don't know where that was. I think it was somewhat east of Denver in an industrial area. Not really sure because we were messing with that dude in the Integra on I-70 and then we followed him off an exit. Where about do you live? If you're EVER in Aurora, you have a 80% chance of seeing me on the road.
 
I live really really close to Aurora....... SE Denver....... I used to work at Iliff and Havana there at Ed Bozoth Chevy. Yeah there are a few places off 70........ Most common one for me is down at 3rd and Kalamath. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen you around but I havent driven in a long while. Used to have a 92 Civic Hatch, or a 90 Laser Turbo. Recognize either by chance? or maybe a friend of mine who had a 01 Tiburon. Hehe.... maybe you could race VG30DETT today........ he lives close by...... he'd love to boast about his AWD lil Sooby.

Well, I couldn't talk crap in the Hyundai Accent! I couldn't beat anyone, at anything! But yes, I talk a lot of crap (a lot of it that I couldn't back up, but it's fun anyway :D ) with the Subaru.

Before engine swap? What sort of engine do you have in there now?

Sorry, I've seen and raced waaaay too many civics to keep track of them. As for the Laser, I can't say that I have seen one. I saw a red 01 Tiburon a while ago. Is your friend's red? And about that Subie race...hell yeah. I'm always down for a race. But you'll have to gimme a coupla days. The weather just got really bad and I need new tires and brakes before I do any more driving. Gotta call good ol' wealthy grampa!

Well, actually, that may have been a bit misleading. I don't actually have the engine IN the car yet. I bought one in WV because it was really cheap and the guy that had it is an expert on Nissan SR20's. So it's mine but it's halfway across the country and waiting for me to get enough money for the install and drive over there. So as for now, it's just the SR20DE with a few bolt-ons.
 
It was a 01' red "bug eye" Tiburon. He did his own exhaust, and for a while it was very loud.

Right now my car is basically stock. Everything that was done to it was done by the previous owner. It includes:

- Eight inch black wheels (7 is stock)
- Trunk completly replaced (no badging, no wing, nothing)
- Exhaust (either full cat-back or just muffler, no clue really)

My plans are:

- Paint the silver center cap.
- Cobb rear sway bar, front and rear strut bars, and struts and springs.
- Cobb Cold Air Intake, Headers, High Flow Catalytic Converter, Cat Back Exhaust, Leightweight Pulley System, Street Cams. (should be adding ~35hp at the wheels)
- Solo II tires.
- Cobb transmission mount, shifter bushings, and when needed a clutch and flywheel.
- Cobb performance brakes, when needed.
- Replace the trunk with the one that came from the factory.

Thats all I really know so far. I want a slow sort of sleeper look :D. Hopefully I'll have all of that within a couple of years. Then I can pay off the car, and buy an STi. :D

Sorry Fugiot, VG30DETT isn't very smart sometimes. I've seen his car and he isn't rollin on 8" wheels.

He might be talking about the wheels width.

Hmmm, that would be pretty cool actually. I've never done an I-link battle. How old are all you guys? I'm 19 and I live at about Hampden and Buckley in Aurora. So you live in Vail, huh? Richie rich rich punk! J/K, I've driven to Vail before in my Sentra and it's a LOT of fun after you get past the Eisenhower tunnel. All downhill from there.
 
I'm 29 and a punk, but I'm certainly not rich.

VG30DETT and Tofu are in their late teens as well.
I'm the old geezer when we I-link.
Maybe we will try to set something up here in the near future.
 
hell yeah...... i think another I-link is called for now. I'm 20..... Mike is 19 i think... lol he's like one of my best friends and i dont even know for sure. We have a few more friends who are down but are never on here. Any specifics boom? oh by the way I live right around Hampen and Monaco or where I-25 and I-225 come together.
 
No specifics from me just yet. I need to write the schedule tomorrow, then I'll have a better idea of when I can make it down there.

WhereEVER it is, I'm bringing my homemade sound system. Nice and powerful but very portable. Well, not VERY but it's easy to take over to someone else's place.

Oh. Well, my wheels weren't powder coated like I thought. They're bigger, 8" while on 7" are from the factory.
 
Downright deplorable.

20 some odd posts just to get you to clarify that your wheels on your car are 8" wide and you still can't even say for sure.
