Me vs. Schumacher - Nurburgring GP/F

Is that a serious question?
Okay, i'll give you a couple of answers:
1. He's Michael Schumacher
2. He's one of the highest paid F1 Drivers
3. He's Michael Schumacher
4. He's 8x Worldchampion
5. He's Michael Schumacher
6. It's a Video game
7. He's Michael Schumacher
.
.
.
See where I'm going with this.

He is only 7 times World Champion. We live in hope.

Schumacher, driving god! (ducks)

Lol good luck with trying to beat a 1:29.

Id probably say Racing medium is most accurate GT5 tire rather than racing hard as in qualifying in real life they use the Supersoft tyres. Also lets not forget qualifying is also done with only enough fuel for a few laps. Im not sure what that relates to in GT5 but id imagine thats a disadvantage. One other thing that would be slowing you down is not having the ability to sort out the gear ratios. In the F1 cars the early gears are too short in GT5.

They are all quite accurate technically as it is PDs own tyres. They should add real life branded tyres such as the Bridgestone tyres in F1 last year. I think it will be quite complex to do but it will improve the sim aspects as tyres are probably the most important thing. Qualifying has been changed to low fuel recently but in 2004 and 2007 they had race fuel onboard, but obviously not full tank. The early gears are short in real life F1 too.

I just took the F2007 around GP/F for about 10 laps or so and did a 1.30.4xx. With some bad turns, racing hards. Only setup changes were gear ratio and downforce. I didn't bother with suspension..
With a better tune, and a better driver, a 1.28 may be possible. Definitely possible with racing softs, I reckon.

In 2007 Felipe Massa did 1:30.912 in the second stage of qualifying before the times were cleared and they went back out on race fuel.
