Menu disappears when pitting wtf?

So I noticed today when I pit during longer races the menu sometimes disappears. The arrow to select tires and gas is still there, but the options have turned invisible, thus making you have to accept whatever is default, and makes it impossible to actually switch tire types.

Anyone else experience this or find a fix?
 
I've had this happen. You can actually pause the game when the menu appears. The gameplay will pause, but the menu remains active for you to make changes.
 
I have yes ... You always get this at laguna seca (the endurance at least) if you cut the left hand turn into the pits and keep the throttle pressed after the AI takes over ...

Easy fix, just don't come into the pits so hot, is all.

lol yes I agree, its not something that PD should fix at all, once again the player shall penalise himself by driving slower to ensure there are no problems ... thanks for the fabulous suggestion there 👎
 
Thanks I'll probably just try to pause while the menu is there for 1/5 of a second :P

I also have issues with the pit crew freezing up and making my pit times atrocious. I thought maybe this is because of the amount of fuel I'm putting in? But since I can't CHANGE the amount of fuel on the invisible screen....

Grrr...

The AI will just fill the tank all the way which can take a while, so your probably right about the gas
 
had it happen to me twice at laguna seca as well. haven't had to pit at any other tracks recently. i just accepted whatever was on the menu since i had such a lead built up.

I tried this again last night and it doesn't work anymore... must have been the 1.07 update
