Man, it's even uglier if you can believe it. It's like if one of those bs tuners like Mansory or Hamman or something like that had a go at it.

I think that's mostly the colour's fault. As boring as it might be, a dark metallic gray would probably work better.

Personally, I like this a lot, and I'm not a massive fan of the normal SLS. But this is suitably hardcore, and the reviews of newer AMG products have been more and more positive, so I expect great things from their ultimate flagship.

When I saw it it reminded of the Brabus SLS.....

Does it look better in white........

Here is some info on the car
The Black Series sports an extra 39HP compared to the recently revised SLS AMG GT, for a total of 622HP (631PS), though its maximum torque has dropped by 11 lb-ft to 468 lb-ft (634Nm). The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint takes 3.6 seconds, 0.1 seconds less than the non-Black Series SLS, which is not really that great of an improvement.

The 6.2-liter V8 now revs up to 8,000 rpm, instead of 7,200. It features revised camshafts and tappets utilizing race-developed coating, new engine mapping and modified air intake ducts to reduce airflow restrictions and adapt to the higher rev limit.

That’s not all: AMG’s engineers have optimized the crank assembly, modified oil bores, added new crankshaft bearings, a new oil pump and fine-tuned the water and oil cooling system for the engine and the transmission.

All in all, the Black Series is 70 kg (154 pounds) lighter than the standard SLS and boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 5.49 lb/hp.

I don't like it. Only BS I like is the C Coupé BS.
Why would you add spoiler to a car that wouldn't even go around corners properly? That's just nonsense.

I liked the overall shape of the stock SLS much more, because it seems more elegant and subtle. This is just a 13yo NFS - Version of it :indiff:

Too over the top for me. I'd take the stock one any day. It's insanely powerful enough, and besides, if I wanted precision, I'd have a 458.

Black Series are the over the top version of an AMG.

I like it. It looks nuts.

Nooo, on the contrary!!! It looks amazingly bland, it's like they asked Hamman to create some carbon fiber accents for it and that's all. Where are wild-ass wheel arches and an even more ridiculous wing? And the wheels, they are suuuuperboring and, amazingly, I find them oddly small for this car.

The whole thing is just boring and ugly at the same time.

:drool::drool: the fenders on the standard SLS were kinda dull to me. This just what the SLS needs. That rear end... :O

I think it also looks awesome in that yellow apint. Those black bits on the bodywork & hood balance it out.

Are you serious? The SLS is a great handling (cornering) car. NFS doesn't make Mercedes Benz cars with 630hp. They ran this thing to the ground (literally) in testing before it was released.

And I'm pretty sure it's 'precision' is as good as the 458, possibly better.

Yellow isn't doing it for me, white's a little better. Would like to see one in black!

Price on some of the options for the SLS Black Series
The options list shows just how much the options will cost in Canada, eh. I'm expecting these prices to be about the same in America, since converting to US dollars only subtracts a little off the options. As far as I can tell, the wheels and Bang and Olufsen stereo are the only options that aren't made of carbon fiber.

Exterior, TBC
601 designo Exclusive leather / Alcantara in Black -STD
H73 AMG - carbon fiber trim- STD
31P - AMG Extended interior carbon fiber trim - $5,100
255 - Performance media system - STD.
281 - AMG Performance steering wheel - STD
657 - 19"/ 20" AMG mixed 5-spoke forged wheels with matte black inlay - STD
658 - 19'/20" AMG Mixed 5-spoke forgeed wheels in matte black - $2,800
773 - AMG carbon fiber exterior trim- mirror backs - $2,200
811- B&O Performance surround sound system - $6,500
B07- AMG Carbon Ceramic Brake System - STD.
B14 - Carbon fiber Engine Compartment Cover - $6,000
B26- AMG Aerodynamics Package - STD

The only other non carbon fiber option is that yellow paint on the show car. It'll set you back a mere $18,000.
Jalopnik

That is alot of money for some yellow paint.
But the other options are about the same as the regular SLS.

Terrible. I see a standard one just about every day, and they are nearly perfect stock. Such a blunt-tool looking thing. It's all purpose, no extraneous detailing. The Black ruins this completely.

I don't know about you guys, but yellow doesn't go well on Mercs for me. They do incredibly well with neutrals and some times red, that's it.

Looked good on track at Albert Park. Did not sound as loud as the C63 AMG ESTATE SAFETY CAR but, sounded and looked good.
