The illustrations show a "W-duct", a three-pronged channel in the nose that re-route more air over one side of the car while the W03 is cornering, creating more aerodynamic grip on the outside. So yes, any team that tried to re-create this would need a complete overhaul, because the aerodynamics work across the entire body of the car, and not just the front wing.
