The angle of that nose looks quite similar to the posted picture we saw earlier in the thread. That picture prior may have some proof to it.

Nah I don't think so, that picture I believe comes from a Mercedes F1 fan page on Facebook, there's more than 1 picture with that edit style :p

Surprised nobody has tried to do a frame by frame of the teaser video they posted earlier. Mercedes got this spot on by speed-blurring out the car; almost as if they're too shy to show everyone what the car looks like although I think I can just make out one of those finger noses again with a Ferrari-esque droop beforehand.

It may (and quite possibly is) just be the motion blur on that second image, but I have to say that the front-end looks very similar to that used on the W01.

Mercedes' livery looks quite a lot different to 2013, a lot more black on the airbox

Perhaps sponsorship from Blackberry in a more prominent position on the car...

At least we know it works :sly:

Edit: Seems odd we can't see the driver helmet colour from the frame shots? Unless they just put on plain ones Barcelona Pirelli test style :p

Or it could be Nico driving with his new black helmet :)

Yeah I can definitely see a finger nose in that blurry image somewhere (just so the car meets the new regulation requirements). I could still be wrong however.

I love how Mercedes have done their reveal - or the build up to their reveal - you get a sense that they want you to do a little bit of hunting around and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. Really gets you engaged with the brand and the team over the launch period a whole lot more than the other teams i.m.o.

Very similar to Ferraris (ugliest of '14) interpretation, except they've pulled it off far better.
From what Iv seen it's the best looking car of 2014 so far. McLaren a close second but need to hold off on real judgement until their proper livery is shown.

"NOT AGAIN LEWIS", that's what they are really saying.

It's an odd-looking car. The proportions all seem wrong. Long where it should be short, squat where it should be tall, and so on.

What are you talking about? It looks fine and no worse than any of the others and I'm sure they have parts that will be tested over these couple of days. The only bizarre anomaly is the placement of the driving mirrors.

I thought the best looking car award was going to Mercedes but it's definitely gone to Red Bull.
EDIT: Changed my mind. Still Mercedes.

Exactly that black piece isn't great but it's better than everyone else with one. (on the RB10 that is)

Last sample of the V6 sounds were ****, I guess they have done something with the exhaust to make it sound good.

What last sample are you talking about? And the original sample didn't sound good because it was an open exhaust on a dyno...
