Need to fill time in a movie?, raid the Paramount clip bin

That is slightly lame considering the budget for Transformers! I guess they need to still recoup some money from The Island's mediocre performance. If you happen to also come across scenes with a silver Porsche 911 Turbo then you know someones run off with the production check!

Why don't they go the whole hog and put some Scarlett Johassen scenes back in :sly:

EDIT - But seriously if its to respect that girls family then fair enough.

From what I read though, it was a necessary thing because the original footage shot had a scene ended up with a female extra seriously injured. Smart move by MB in order to probably respect the girl's family and the city of chicago.

Interesting. Too bad they didn't do that for Aaliyah.

This find makes the mind wonder how common this is. I know cartoons (at least older ones - Ren & Stimpy was (in)famous for it) will use older clips with different colors and voiceovers. A MMP like this one is still shocking, even with the story about the injured extra.

I'm surprised anyone even noticed, its not like many people saw the island, and those that did, probably blocked it out of their memory.

Why? I thought it was enjoyable enough.

The Island was infinitely better than Transformers 3 though. Not saying that it's good, just saying Transformers 3 was awful.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but this isn't the first time that Michael Bay has reused a scene from one of his previous movies. This scene was originally used in Pearl Harbor, but Bay used the same scene (albeit a slightly altered version) in the first Transformers film.

Also, I though The Island was a decent film, not great, but it was fairly enjoyable to watch.
