Earlier this morning Dr. Gary Harstein said Schumi is fighting for his life...
That's been said since last night. Any head injury like this is serious, and would spell intensive care for anybody.

This was already a 🤬 year, lost my grandma and other terrible stuff, now my biggest hero risking his life, 2013 gtfo.
I'll pray under this 2002 giant poster on the wall.

There is no evidence that this was anything more than a tragic accident. The Illuminati, Templars, Freemasons, Opus Dei, Elders of Zion, Majestic-12, Bilderberg Group, Phoebos Cartel, Propaganda Due, Skull and Bones and/or SPECTRE were not involved.

Honestly, the suggestion that Schumacher was somehow targeted for murder is one of the stupidest things I've read this year.
The complete denial and dismissal of any such theories is even stupider. Neither of us knows what happened, or happens around the world for that matter. We only rely on "sources", and they're not always truthful are they? I thought it was ridiculous that someone suggest Michael Jackson had been killed years ago and look what happened. There was actually a case.

I didn't mention any of those dumbass theories you listed, I was simply concerned there MAY have been foul play considering reports said that he was conscious at first and then his condition got worsened and went into a coma.

Thanks for being a typical internet genius, though. If it's not written/spoken by official "source" then it must be 100% false, right?

Anyway, I don't want to get out of topic. Guys who have access to non-English sources, keep us posted.

Similar situation happened with Allan Simonsen at Le Mans. Went from 'he's talking and unhurt' to 'he's dead' pretty quick. Plus with this being a head injury, it's not unusual for that to happen.

Really bad news to end 2013. Schumacher was one of my favourite drivers when I was growing up watching F1. I'm praying he can pull through.

Yep, come on, it's a skiing accident, nothing more, accidents happen all the time.

I prefer keeping an open mind. Aside from that, I really don't want to believe someone like him can simply die from an accident like that :(

Being a Brit meant that I loved to hate Schuey by default. But we never actually disliked him. Nice to see so much respect for this man around the Globe.
Let us hope that in 2015 we'll see him not only recovered, but so fit he'll be back in an F1 car, racing his heart out.

He has already retired for the second, and last time from F1

Just goes to show, even the toughest and fittest athletes are still human, and humans are fragile. Hopefully this time he will pull through though.

I can't believe this is happening. I absolutely loved watching Michael race for Ferrari. If anything, Michael is the one who can pull through.

Quite a positive quote here -

"Without a helmet, Michael Schumacher would be dead," Guenter Hujara, said men’s Alpine skiing World Cup director.

"Schumacher’s injury is of the same sort as those suffered in recent seasons by (Swiss Daniel) Albrecht or (Austria’s Johan) Grugger. They were seriously injured but they came out of it and went on to live a normal life," said Hujara.

"Schumacher didn’t go as fast as they did so he has a good chance. Athletes have the strength to overcome such bad times."

With all of his accomplishments in his lifetime, it's saddening to think he is this close :( My prayers are with him and his family and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Normal unknow people dies in unexpected ways everyday, when someone is famous the imagination runs too fast.
Don't get me wrong, i'm a BIG fan of him since i was a little kid and i'm really sad and i'm really hoping he will survive, but that's how life is, there isn't always a reason or someone to blame.

Various sources say that the coma is medically induced not one which Michael fell into whilst being transferred between hospitals, if this is accurate it's positive.

@GOTMAXPOWER Yes, that one's true. They also don't believe any more surgery is necessary for the time being.

I wish that the news was less vague in this situation. If it's any consolation, Schumacher's lived through some pretty bad injuries before and turned out okay, I'm praying that this is the case this time as well.

I've been away from the internet and live TV for a few days, so this is the first I'm hearing of it.

Hoping for the best for Schuey.

Found this on twitter, echoes sentiment of many I am sure.

They have already given us as much detail as they can. Any more would start to infringe on doctor-patient privilege (and likely get into technical medical analysis that would be beyond most of us and would only give rise to new rumours and nonsense from the internet). Nor do we really need to know anything more than what we have been told.

In truth, the situation as it is could probably be considered the best-case scenario. Schumacher is stable and the extent of his injuries are known. This is not the kind of injury that you recover from quickly, so we're really in a situation where no news is good news. He's in a medically-induced coma, anyway, so there's no much to tell. We'll likely get an update if and when he wakes up, and when he gets discharged.

^ Agreed.
Just watched the news and they confirmed that Michael is in a medically induced coma after the surgery to remove a blood clot. The surgery was needed not only to remove the clot, but to reduce the pressure and swelling on his brain.
