It's out in euroland!

I'm already downloading. Any of you dudes want to take it personal with me, here's your chance! :D

That reminds me...

Have you played Micro Machines V4 for the PS2? Also, this is news to me.

Another related game like this is Drive To Survive also on PS2.

ugh i feel bummed out over this game, like super bummed out

I'll just say that you should avoid Micromachines: World Series unless you literaly want Overwatch but with cars, thats basically all it is, even down to the lootbox system, abilities, ranking system, and a lack of any singleplayer content.

its has bummed me out to the point i did a 15minute ad libbed crappy video recording on my thoughts on the game (that i wont link to here unless asked, and because its basically me trying to ay the points ive mentioned here), which is probably giving this game 15 minutes too much actual exposure than it deserves

Codemasters released a darned good game in DiRT4 in the same month as this as well, which makes this releaseall the more baffling. If you literaly just want Overwatch but with cars, then yeah this game is okay, good even! but for those wanting a meaningful gameplay experience that isnt dependent on beating other people online through an advertisement riddled (Nerf, GI Joe, hungry hippos etc), low performing (30fps on PS4, which i dont mind but i know others will) and an overall tacky feeling game then its honestly not worth its current price tag in any shape or form.... :(

It looks disappointing as hell and a step down in every way from not only V3 but Turbos too.
Seems like Hasbro really took them to the cleaners to hand over that license. Nerf branding seems excessive.

It really seems so, its a shame since the actual gameplay is still somewhat rather fun, the unique abilities are interesting for the battle mode and its just as chaotic as ever, i just dont see it ever really getting any sort of momentum because of the aformentioned issues and lack of actual meaningful content to unlock that'll also put a lot of people off.

I only had time for an hour last night, but gameplay seemed ~solid to me?
yes, excluding 30fps which is far from my ideal for this kind of game. (aliasing too).
I saw the "event starts in 2 days" thingy, and I won a loot box at level up, it was a paintjob for a car and some voice iirc. didn't find this to get me angry though, so probably there is something I'm missing here?
the $10-15 clones I've bought this gen are far lower in quality and features than this.
and that 10-12 people online race was kind of crazy-ass fun. maybe I was too tired? will go check :)

If you enjoy it, then don't let anyone take that away from you. There are as many opinions as people out there and not all relevant to your experience. Personally, it's not my kind of game, so I haven't tried it but if you enjoy, then go for it :)
