Video Games You Currently Want?

Resident Evil Requiem (the 9th mainline game) was announced and releasing Feb 2026, very thrilled about that. Trailer doesn't show any gameplay but it does show a return to Racoon City after it was destroyed. Can't wait.

Screamer (2026).

This game was announced last year, but I had never played the original, so this game was just “one of those titles I'll add to my wish list for now”.

However, with the pre-alpha trailer that was released this time, this game has moved up the ranks to “a game I will definitely buy”.
I don't know how people who know the original will react, but to me this looks like a mashup of Hotwheels Unleashed and Burnout, with a cool cyberpunk art style added to it.

In other words, this game offers everything I love. Especially now that Milestone has lost the Hotwheels license and I know that the HWU series will never be released again, this game is going to be the cure for that sadness for me.

I'm old enough to have played the original Screamer series, and I have to say that I don't hold out much hope for this game. Yes, it looks good but it seems to be clone of NFS: Unbound with Burnout elements added.

Just give me a good old-fashioned arcade game with no free-roaming, no half-arsed story mode; just a basic economy, upgrade system and a collection a great/outlandish circuits.

After playing the PC demo, I'm definitely keen on Stellar Blade. I especially looking forward to its crossover with Nikke on its PC launch

From the Xbox Showcase: The Outer Worlds 2, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Clockwork Revolution, and Gears of War Reloaded interest me the most.

I still haven't played much of the first one, but this sequel looks so good I may have to rectify that. Bethesda get all the hype but Obsidian are making better games these days.

I really hope Outer Worlds 2 turns out to be as good as the first one. If you haven‘t finished it yet, I can‘t recommend playing the game enough, it‘s one of the best modern RPG‘s imo.

And I agree, Obsidian Games is a great developer. Just look at Fallout New Vegas, which is by far the best modern Fallout game and way closer to the first two games than 3 & 4, which were developed by Bethesda.

I'd like to try an Outer Worlds game as I've only Heard good things about it but there's a bit too much Fallout involved to make me bite.

Tbf I found the game closer to old school RPG‘s like Vampire: The Masquerade or Deus Ex. Outer World’s atmosphere is obviously different and the game is much more light hearted but the general gameplay is similar.

I think what makes the game stand out are the writing, quests and characters. All three are top-notch!

I'm pretty stoked for Death Stranding 2 which releases near the end of the month. I'm expecting it to be even weirder than the first one.

Played it last time on Game Pass streaming but added it to the PS5 wishlist this time, waiting for a sale. The spacers choice edition looks the way to go.

Watched many great clips of this on Twitch and Tiktok. So happy it’s coming to console. Time to show those Frogs some proper British steel. Fix bayonets!

Games I want this year and in the future:
  • Mario Kart World
  • Donkey Kong Bananza
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Switch 2 edition + Star Crossed World
  • Ananta for my PlayStation 5
  • Screamer (2026)

I thought of Call of Duty World at War would be the last PS3 game I'd ever buy, but I actually found 2 more I want as of recent:
Transformers War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. Being a fan of the TV show Transformers Prime and then hearing these games were connected to it as made me want them. Not just that, but Tyrpticon and Metroplex are 2 characters I have become rather fond of after seeing footage of these games, and naturally, I want to know more. So these are two more PS3 games I can add to my list. Only problem is that they've become very expensive, and I am unsure if I'll ever get them.

Yet another that has come to mind for me is:
Transformers Prime - The Game (Wii). Didn't think I'd ever want another Wii game, but here we are. This one is on my list because, again, I love the TV show it's based on, and this alone is good enough for me. The fact that they have a character that didn't appear in the series makes me curious to play it.

More I forgot to mention:
NASCAR Heat (PS1). I am a pretty big fan of the NASCAR games on PS1 and spent quite a bit of time on them in recent years, and had a good time with them. Seeing as I have NASCAR games from Stormfront, Blackbox, and Papyrus on that system, having one from Monster Games would certainly shake things up a bit, and I am curious to see how it fits in.
NASCAR 2025 (Xbox Series X). Not sure what this will be called, but given how it's being made by iRacing, I am genuinely curious to see how this game will be. However, it may be some time before I ever get it since it's going to be expensive, so I'll have to wait for the price to go down.
