If its next Forza Horizon will release in PS5 i would be very happy person
Almost every game announced on the Xbox Games Showcase would be coming to PS5, and FH6 would definitely be no exception, as FH5 is already on PS5.

Most notably, this year's Showcase's flagship title, The Outer Worlds 2, is also coming to PS5.

D: They're taking a few months off and are headed to Disneyland with their big pile of Playstation money. Could even be a working holiday in Disneyland Tokyo...
I would like to imagine the astronomical costs for licensing just to get any Disney-themed content (even including Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars) in FH6.

Another thing more feasible is the Kansai area, especially Osaka (especially since it's home to Universal Studios Japan - not to mention it does make references to the Fast X, Barbie and classic Universal movie cars from FH5).

I meant Japanese content, not Disney. The theme park stuff is just for fun.

I'm rooting for Forza, because its the only thing that will make GT great again. I looked the other day and FH has 900+ cars, and GT has 400+ and if you don't count fake cars and duplicates and marking nonsense the actual number is far less. Yikes. If Forza got the rights to Pikes Peak we'd have it out in 6 months max. Needless to say if I had a PS5 I'd never look back.
Its going to be a new horizon witch are not competing with gt. Gt has more detailed and accurate cars so thats why the number is lower. Gt7 has like 530 cars right now.
And their next title could have 700+.

Still looking forward to fh6 to see what it brings. To burned out on fh5 sadly.

The next Silent Hill is launching September this year. The game Spencer was referring to is pretty obviously Project Gotham Racing Halo, whether that's a remake of Combat Evolved or the new game being made in Unreal 5.
It's more than likely Combat Evolved. The studio underwent a major overhaul in October that reportedly involved a lot of staff changes and the announcement they were switching to UE5. There's a belief we won't be seeing a new Halo for a while.

Yay, a new PGR @Terronium-12 :D  (just kidding but i wonder what it actually is).

A big chunk of Forzas cars are old models from Xbox 360 days or at least look like them. Cars in gt7 are far higher quality.

Fullt agreed i just hope some of those old models is rescanned.

Specially Nissan skyline r32 and Nissan Silvia s15 those are proably the worst offenders.
It was claimed that they would be fixed for next forza title.

How big a chunk? As I understand it it's about one car in six and not all of the listed models are 360-era, just inaccurate. That still leaves seven hundred and fifty cars which no one is complaining about. It's a problem for some people (and I hope they all get rescanned eventually) but I don't think it should be overstated.

A longer development time probably equals a bigger game, right? I don't mind waiting if the product is going to be better for it. Horizon 5 has been a hit for Microsoft and I'm pretty sure they'd want to follow it up properly with Horizon 6. At least that's what I hope.

I do think that some people vastly exaggerate when they talk about Forza's car models being "from the 360 era" Sorry but it's just not true. I accept that GT has higher quality cars but not so vastly different that they are 2 console generations ahead.

It is true for some of them. Throwing touchups at cars they've carried over from Forza 4 (or, worse, Forza 3) doesn't mean they haven't still done so across multiple console generations; and since many of the models in question all looked pretty bad even on the 360 I can easily see why someone would consider them standing out nowadays as much as the Standard cars did in 2010. There's even been one offhand I know where they implemented a car all new to the series that was clearly based on an edited version of a different one from Forza 3.

Fixed that for you.

FH5 had 862 cars, not including Forza editions, special edition cars, Welcome Pack cars, and not to mention the "movie cars" (Barbie, Fast X, Universal classics). But with all of them included, FH5 would have 902 cars.

I'm sure everyone would want, licensing notwithstanding, every car from FH5 to carry over to FH6, so they could focus more on adding new cars and bringing back the more forgotten cars from previous games.

Their is no way next gt has 1000 cars. Not unless the sacrifice the quality.

Horizon 6 is sure possible or at least close to it

I don't think it's a big chunk, though (whatever that means).

FH4 and FH5 alone added just under 550 new cars to the series between them, although that's including stuff like Welcome Pack cars and special versions used in the Stories. Even considering the number of cars that weren't carried over between the two, that's a pretty large proportion of recent models.

As a ballpark figure, 261 of the cars in FH5 debuted in the 360 games (including cars that were absent for many years then reintroduced for FH4 or 5, like the 207 S2000 or NSX-R GT), while the rest are from the XB1 games.

Spencer basically repeating what he said at the end of the Direct about Fable, Gears and Forza coming next year (from 23:46 mark onward). Just noting that the footage used (by official Xbox podcast) to illustrate what he was saying was of Horizon, not Motorsport.

People involved with FH5 leaving Playground Games in sufficient numbers to start two separate new studios can't have helped FH6 development.
That was two years ago, and included 7 people according to a few articles. That's not exactly a sufficient number & not entirely unheard of for development leaders to found their own studios. On the other side, Playground opened up its third studio in the UK last year that they said specifically works on Fable.
In our original HQ, we continue to support and grow the huge, vibrant Horizon community. In our new studios on the other side of town, we are excited to be developing Fable, a new beginning for the legendary franchise.
It does not seem like Playground is pulling everyone in to work on Fable instead of FH6. If anything, they appeared to be growing their employees to do that & outsource work to Eidos Montreal until recently.

I've never seen anyone mention the PS3 quality interior the older Suzuki Swift has on GT7. To be fair that is an outlier but it's definitely noticeable.

Its slighly higher quality than ps3. But yes not as good as some others. But at least the model is still accurate. The biggest problem with some of forza car models is not the quality its how inaccurate they are. Its very much apply to the Nissan skyline r32 and Silvia s15 to say those is bad would be an understatement. They are so bad i dont even want to drive them in horizon 5.

"Some" meaning under a dozen of the 900 cars that Horizon 5 now has at the most, something the devs. long ago acknowledged & have already shown willing to address in Motorsport.
Yes! We have a list of cars we’re chasing down to be rebuilt – really exciting stuff. It may take a while to get them showing up in games – sourcing and building cars takes many months or even a year+ depending on how hard it is to find a museum-quality car, licensing, etc etc. When the refreshed cars do come out, it will likely be with future games as we aren’t able to just swap out the old models for the new in existing games without potentially breaking other things in the process.
