Mild Hybrids....

Your Acura. No actual Road car would have F1 tires (unless your bulding a supercar). Matters on what your building it for. It's like a Semi-mild one. Sounds nice :)...

Thought I would share my latest mild hybrid:

I made a WRX STi version of the Subaru Legacy Sport Wagon. My wife has an Outback, and I wanted to make something similar that I could race. The main difference is the WRX Sti engine and engine mods. The rest is Legacy SW.

Its pretty funny watching a mom-mobile running at Mid-Field. Its pretty fast on the straights, but so far its a pig in the corners. I've gotten rid of most of the massive understeer, but it has no grip. Guess it needs some more tuning. I'm trying to stick to the Subaru theme, so I don't see F1 tires going on it.

Next plan is to give it a try at Rallying. Maybe I'll give it the WRC Prototype suspension.

MG

I installed the Legacy's available T8's. I thought about using some parts off the Blitzen Legacy, but I didn't see any real advantages in the info I found in MK's program. I may play around with some Impreza WRC parts and see if it helps.

I'm also playing around with a TRD Celica with the Celica GT-4 driveline. Sort of a Celica WRC (or maybe just a Group N) car.

I'm having fun with the idea of being my own personal tuner company (aka Mine's, TRD, or Nismo). Skyline-Trueno or Rotary Miata anyone?

My favs are a Bettle 1.8T (1.8 Turbo from TT, very much like our GTI) and TT with S4 engine, turbo, suspention and stuff like that. oh yeah and my V8 Miata is always fun. and my fav drift hybrid is a S13 Sivlia with S15 engine and turbo

My problem with the Legacy turned out to be a tuning issue. In my excitement to try the car, I forgot that I was using default settings for handling and LSD. I spent 1/2 hour on it last night and its handling much better. It still doesn't have the grip of the WRX, but neither does my wife's Outback. So I'll keep it "as is" in that regard for "reality's sake."

The TRD Celica 4WD handled pretty well "out of the box". It's pretty underpowered for a hybrid (425 HP), but it's keeps with the mild theme.

I like some of the thoughts on adding V8 power to small cars. It would be cool if the weight of the motor were taken into account in GT3 so you would get the same weight/balance induced understeer as you would get in real life.

EVERYONE THAT HAS REPLIED TO THIS POST SHOULD READ THIS!

This concerns everyone that has replied to this particular post, and anyone who likes hybrids.
I have recently started a website/club for people who like building realistic hybrids.
The site is called Realife Racing. Take a look around. If you have any cars to submit, please feel free to mail them to me via the site's e-mail address. Please include some information, similar to the style that I have on my site. You'll know what I mean when you see the first couple of cars.
The site is new, and still is under heavy, heavy construction. If you have ANY comments, concerns, questions, or complaints, feel free to mail me.

This is the sites address - http://www3.sympatico.ca/rob_bate

PS - I just finished the Realife Racing Project Silvia Touge Racer, about an hour ago. It will be up on the site, along with the Jun Super Civic, and the Motorex Blackbird R34, by Saturday evening.

not sure if this would be classed as realistic but its my newest hybrid and i think it turned out better than i thought

its a tt 1.8t quattro with....uhh.....i dunno how much hp its got actually:lol: but its pretty cool and has r390 race car tyres that look phat on it and if u buy rally tyres u can turn it into a pretty damn fast rally racer:lol:

ok the most realistic hybrid ive made yet its a trueno shigeno
its got 504 horses t4 r390 race tyres which do look a little big and the reason they r t4's is that they dont give loads of grip and they dont leave u spinning out after every corner. the reason i created this hybrid is cos i couldnt drift the normal shigeno at all i would either spin out or not go sideways enough. so then i thought why not make a mild hybrid with some grippier tyres than the normal shigeno and a little more power. and here are the results the ABMotorsports© trueno DR (Drift Racer)

Alright, until I can find the specs of the New Integra Type R (2003) Im going to try something else. I will be rolling out a Taisan (sp) FTO (from GT2). Handles great for an FF :)...

Comon', some one has to have the specs to the 2003 Integra. Famine, dont you have GTC? If not can you help me get an INI of the 2003 Integra Type R in GTC? Really trying to get this one finished...

The details will be in mk's v38. Of course, you'll have to load a GTC garage into it first...

Change the file extension you div! An Xport file is just .xps, a Sharkport just .sps - they have the same information within. Besides, mk's works with either.

Anyway:
