Here's the i8 it's replacing:

Although the concept of an open-top Safety Car seems a bit off to me I much prefer this to the MINI.

Granted, a Safety Car is primarily a marketing thing these days in most sports and so long as it can go fast enough to not trouble the drivers it's fine.
