Guys, I am Mini-maniac. I searched this and other forums for this with no luck. I was wondering what are the different colors for all mini models. Would anyone be so kind to do some screenshots of the color list?

Another thing, can I paint the body of the car and the roof of different colours?
For example red with white roof, yellow with black roof, silver with black roof and so on. I already know that wheels can be customized...

Agree would love to see some photos of the Cooper S. Would love to know how much it could be tuned also.

I can't help with any data, since I'm still waiting for the game myself, and it's begining to drive me crazy i might ad :odd:
But regarding the question wheter or not you can paint the roof, I'm 99,9 percent sure you can NOT. That would be a first, and i haven't noticed anyone writting any thing about it in here.

I really couldnt agree more here, the new MIMI is a horrible car it so plastic it lost all of the original mini's character for one thing the new version isnt exactly "mini" anymore. Long live the original icon i say!!! its like comparing the old italian job movie too the new and far more hollywood version.............it just cant compare
 
Nope! Sorry simpaty you can not paint the cars, just pick from the selection of pre-defined colours.
 
The new MINI is a nice car, but it isn't exactly a mini. Which is probably a good thing since the mini is an old outdated piece of junk. If you want a modern mini go buy a SMART.

It annoys me when people like to cuddle with a certain vehicle just because they used to have one. It's cool that both minis are in the game though, to call another good car an abomination just because it doesn't look like your own dustbin on wheels makes no sense.

Oh you did not just compare that phoneboth to an actual car!!! That is just plain wrong :crazy:
But i do agree with you on the last part. Some people just can't seem to have an open mind towards new versions of some old cars, that achieved the status of icon. :indiff:

The old mini was the closest thing too driving a go cart they were great fun too drive too me the original mini was an still is an icon
 
the old mini was an unreliable peice of junk, it was always breaking down in comparison to the japanese makes, the old mini wouldn't protect you in a crash with a shopping cart.

A little exaggeration is here but the basic idea is there.
as great as the mini was and is (I really want an old mini as a second "fun" car) it was time for a new one. Yeah, it isn't the old mini, but it's the new one and it's a lot of fun. compared to all the other cars out there, it's VERY zippy and recreates the feel of a small car, maybe just not the the extreme that the origional did.
So old mini fans.......................enjoy your old car because it's great, and shut up an leave the new fans alone. They are both great, fun little cars.

everyone go home, nothing to see here. lol
 
He does sport a good point there: A mini offers absolutely no crash protection, but, then again, who goes over 35 mph in Downtown London? The new one is fun, too. Sport Compact Car held a stock burnout test among various models including a G35 and the Cooper S still won.

Just a question, but how kickass would a (new) Mini be if they produced a limited edition racing version with a MR configuration?
 
minis are only as unreliable as there owners, look after them and they look after you.

side impact bars fitted to later models helped the crash protection massively, as well as airbags and SRS.

not to mention they are small and nimble enough to dodge trouble, compared to the new MINI which is the spiritual successor to the QE2.

a mini cooper would destroy a smart around any track, have you seen the top gear handling test? the smart was almost completely uncontrollable.

there are some crazy ones out there, one with a 500bhp V8 others with 220bhp Vtecs and 250bhp turbo A-series. a mini clubman on 6x10's was the best handling car i have ever driven.

Also if you want a car that ploughs like a dump truck with flat tires, buy a SMART :p
Seriously, that car is one of the worst handling cars on the road today. Don't believe me? Go download the Top Gear episode where the Stig drives it, horrible handling car :scared: CHRONIC understeer.
 
How can a golf cart have serious understeer?

Secondly, why would anyone drive a golf cart to its limits?
 
Comparing the Smart to either the new or old Mini is dumb. I believe that the concept of the original Mini, which was bringing cheap driving to the masses back in the 60's has all been lost with the new Mini. And its not small either. The original was a great little fun car to drive, The new one is a very good car in the hot hatch sector with the Cooper S, but in standard form as the One and Cooper, it is sluggish and wheezy, and doesnt handle all that great.
 
lol, my comment about the Smart was because every time i see one, i just want to barf up on the pavement.
 
i like the smart... but i know it's got bad handling.... the car used to flip over on the passing-lane test in the prototype phrase.. (same with the A-class)... they changed the suspension to make it not flip... but still bad handling i guess....

get the Canadian version of smart... with its 41hp diesel engine and 135km/h top speed.... best car ever.... :P
 
guys I got a mini one myself that will soon be chipped to 126 hp. Its fun to dive and it just looks BEAUTIFUL. Screw all of you that dont like it ( :yuck: lol). You're all gelous cause you dont have one ( :dopey: just kidding, but still true...eh eh). Good night everybody, I gotta work tomorrow

It does? I think it looks nothing like it, the only similarity is that they are both mini cars, meaning that they both should have an end like that.

Maybe ripoff was a strong word too use inspired would be more fitting
 
I like the older mini most, same thing with the old beetle. Newer cars don't have the racing history
 
minis are great works of engineering but here in the states they are quite overrated and overpriced.
 
ya i would like to know how much you can tune up a mini. i would love to have a super powered mini. o that would be too much fun
 
a mechainic down the end of my road has a mini cooper 1967 mark2 worth a few bob, this thing is all original and it handles better than a anything ive drivin.
