Format:

1. The custom tracks will be shared on Mondays and the number of laps per stage will be given (exact time to be finalized)
2. Drivers will run all stages for a given week (no particular order will be enforced).
How to run a stage:
a. First, download the track from the host if it is a custom track
b. Go to your own Lounge and change the track to the stage you want to run.
c. Set all the restrictions and change the lap number to the required number of laps for that stage
d. When you are ready, start the race and drive until you finish the race.
e. When the race ends, take a screenshot of the results page and save your replays.
3. During the week, drivers are to post a screenshot of their race times per stage (The only screenshot needed is the one on the race results screen). Replays will be requested from the top drivers as needed, and the results per location/week will be tallied.
4. Deadline for submission will be Saturday (exact time to be finalized). Custom tracks will only be shared at the start of the week and will be "unshared" on the deadline for submissions.
5. Points

For this first series, we will be using the following:
1st 5
2nd 4
3rd 3
4th 2
5th 1

But once this is successful, I am planning on using something similar to the WRC rules:
1st 25
2nd 18
3rd 15
4th 12
5th 10
6th 8
7th 6
8th 4
9th 2
10th 1

but scaled depending on the number of events.

Cars:
Any Rally car will do as of the moment. We'll try to regulate it on the next series based on PP or HP and use unique cars per driver.

Tuning restrictions:
None

Tracks and Schedules:
Locations:

Custom tracks will be created and will be shared only within the week once the stage starts. Drivers will need to submit times for all tracks. Failure to send a stage time will mean a DNS for that stage.

Okay, so to start off, here's the track list...

Since we don't have a proper rally type of race, this really is going to be similar to a hotlap format. Drivers will send their lap times and replays (or screenies) for tallying at the end of each week. Again, I am looking into drafting the rules based on the results, so please feel free to add a suggestion to improve the rules. 👍👍👍

Thanks dude! If you have around 2-3 friends you can invite that'd make kicking this off a lot faster. 👍

I updated the first post, and if you have some thoughts regarding the rules or if you wanna add something in there, feel free to post :)

Yey ZachAK47!

So far, I'm thinking this will be a hotlap based league with an honor system.
Hotlap system
Pros:
-Simplicity of the system
-No requirement to be online at any given time
Cons:
-Not that realistic as drivers will most likely drive as much as they can through out the week and post their fastest time.
-Cheating is easy as drivers can post times for a different/simple custom track that they created, which brings us to...
-Needs auditing/spot checking of top times submitted

But one of my friends suggested a buddy system, where 2 drivers will be paired to take the run...
Buddy/Paired Driver system
Pros:
-Less chances of cheating
-Easy monitoring of results
-Less need for replay checks
-More realistic as the driver is forced to make a single run which will be tallied instead of choosing the best run they had over the week.

Cons:
-Drivers need to be online on specified times by the driver they buddy up with.
-Eats up a lot of time to monitor both runs so Locations will be limited to 1-2 stages

How to do the run:
a. Paired drivers will specify a time they will go online
b. Driver A will make his run with Driver B monitoring.
c. Driver B will make his run with Driver A monitoring.
d. Driver A will post driver B's time here at the GTP forums and vise versa. If one driver does not agree to the time posted, they can submit their replay as proof.

I'm game. I was kinda thinking it'd be pretty cool to try a door to door rally series (see thread here) but nobody seems overly enthused, though from the looks of it, not that many people are into rally at all which is a real shame

If I'm available I wouldn't mind hoping in and trying this out. I'm not great at Rally but I can hang, just not as fast as you lol.
