I'm having the hardest time beating this mission! I mean, I keep a safe distance behind the car in front of me, stay under the speed limit, check my rear view mirror every 5-8 seconds, and I keep failing! I don't get it. I thought this was supposed to be the "real driving simulator."

So yeah.. I failed this test teh first time I did it becuase I took the turn too fast, rolled my car, flipped it, it burst into flames.. jeez.. I was freaking going 20mph too.. I was flying.

Go out to the right of the track, further right than the car in front, and then move in to the left to meet the apex of the corner, get the speed down enough, then accelerate hard out of the corner. You should pass just fine.

I actually went on a bit of a mission with this mission.. hehe... Try overtaking him on the outside and see how "easy" it becomes... hehe... The trick is to be in front of him before you turn in (avoid 5 second penalty)...

Try is peeps, see how it goes...


btw, I did pull it off eventually.

It's a driving sim yes BUT it doesn't teach you how to drive per say, it teaches you how to RACE cleanly WITHOUT tuching or bumping or hitting the walls. Mission is the easiest of all the missions because it's the 1st one. You NEED to PASS the car infront and IGNORE whats behind you because there is no one behind, just the car infront. I know you are getting dissed in this thread but yeesh, you hould better than to drive perfectly in a RACING SIMULATOR. It says "Real driving simulator" for the game because the CARS in the game feel REAL when you use them.

If you need to know how to drive, go get yuor license from your local DMV location and they can teach you proper driving and then you can look at your rear view mirror every 5-8 secs.

This mission is passable on the first try, not millionth try later.

Well, he couldn't have been serious. For mission one, you'll need licence IB at least, right? And there's no way you can pass all those licence-tests (Damn you, pacecar!) while keeping at a legal speed, a safe distance (from the pacecar?) and looking at the rearview mirror...

Excuse me guys, I have a problem with mission 1 seriously.
I have passed this mission many many times but it doesnt credit me as a pass and I dont get any A spec points too. I completed 2-10 already and went back to mission 1 again and passed it easily. However, this game doesnt allow me to see the word "mission clear" . Does anyone know what happened with my GT4 ?

A-spec points can only be won once. Once you win the maximum amount, you cannot win any more from that race. The only way to win more is if you, say, do a race for 56pts, and race it again for 94pts. The second time around, you will win 38pts (94-56=38) for the grand total of 90 points. Once you get to 200 (250 for missions) you maxed them out for that race.

I don't know why the "mission cleared" is cleared, as I've never repeated missions, but as long as you keep the .2% game completion for each, I wouldn't worry. The percentage, not the message, is the important part.

Never knew about that glitch before. I just did them in order...until Mission 11. That one just flat pissed me off, and I saw the Tank Car Prize for 11-20 can't be raced, so I skipped them entirely and did the slipstream battles, I've been skipping around the 1 Lap Magics, figure I'll go for at least the Toyota 7 before I get the Tank Car (M34 will most likely be my last, seeing its difficulty for even GTP veterans).

In other words, check over what they've suggested (Races, series etc.)

And if that doesn't work, im sorry to say but you've unluckily been exposed to a rare glitch and to sum it all up: You're screwed.

I think I'm screwed because I should get the prize after I cleared mission 1-10, but I didnt get anything and the mission 1 still uncleared eventhough I repeated it several times. T_T
