Hi, how do I change the settings of a car in MK's program? Or if I can't do that, Can i do it in game and re-save the file without my modifications being lost??

The car's settings are all contained in the ini file.

Check my guide (link in sig), which will tell you how to export a car to an ini file, edit it and import the file back into the programme (amongst other things).

To find out which line to change, go into the GT3gEdit programme and hit "F1". Then select "index", "Car/INI files" and the lines of the file are explained for you.

All car settings are contained in lines 240-444. Don't forget that you should invert and subtract one from the ini file value to get the game's value (eg if ini file reads 256=-1001, then the game will read line 256 - 4th gear - as 1.000).

To answer your second question, you can alter the settings of any hybrid in-game and save them without affecting the nature of the hybrid. Be aware that if you use GT3gEdit to put settings outside normal game parameters (eg maximum downforce in the game is 1.50, but you can set it up to 2.55 in mk's), altering them in-game will put them back within the game's limits.

Cheers a lot Famine, I didn't realise you could adjust settings that way. Some games 'default' a lot of the time if you get what I mean...

But i've seen that all setups have lines with like seven figure numbers. What are they for??

Depends on what the line is... F1/Index/Car/INI files should give you some clue.

That's a part code, not a settings code. Settings codes are on lines 240-444.

You'll notice that with the stock muffler, any car's ini file will say:
200=-1
204=-1

Part codes come in pairs, you see...:
200=-907344916 Part 1
204=147752274 /Muffler Part 2

Parts are best changed in the programme itself. For settings, ignore everything before line 240!

Yeah, okay but the fact that 1 is stock and 907344916 confused me... I will set things in the program itself until i come into any difficulties... My god damn MAX drive STILL hasn;t arrived yet though... :@ :@
