You can just make another thread for the poll. I think the mods will be ok with that. Just be sure you have all your points options ready to go before posting the poll. Just my opinion, but I'd allow multiple votes for those that might have several options that will work for them, but a single choice would work too.

Four options

1. FIA system (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1)
2. Sequential (10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1)
3. FIA with bonus points* (e.g. Quickest race lap-time, most overtakes)
4. Sequential with bonus points* (same as above)

Multiple voting is allowed, so if for example you know you want the FIA system but you are unsure if you want bonus points allowed, you can vote for both options. Likewise if you aren't sure which system to pick but you know you don't want bonus points, pick both FIA and Sequential.

*the stuff that bonus points will be awarded for can be decided later, if you have any suggestions post them on the thread as other people who aren't sure if they want them might be swayed by a few examples.

For bonus points I think 1 point for each of these.
Pole position, Lead a lap, Most laps lead, and Most positions gained.
 
If we had FIA points system, i don't think there is any need for bonus points.

How long do you want the poll to last for?
 
FIA and if need be one point for fastest lap. Wouldn't bother with overtakes etc. too much work for the stewards I think.

When I said most overtakes I meant most positions gained sorry. It would mostly be up for grabs for the middle-last place qualifiers as if you start in 2nd for example you can only make one position, compared to someone starting in 5th who could make 4 positions.

We've got quite a while until the start of the championship, so we could just leave it until it seems like there aren't any more votes being made.

That's fine, can't say for sure at the moment as there are still quite a few votes to be submitted, but it's looking like the FIA system is probably going to win.
