I don't mind clashing with the F1, im more interested in the BTCC this year, which will be done for 4.30-5ish BST.

Also with the qualifying, im working in the day so when i get back i'll ask if anyone needs a group to run a last minute quali session and if so i'll setup and photograph the results.

I have just had a thought, now shoot me down if I'm on my own with this.

It is regarding the first race and it clashing with the F1 start.

I have looked through the calendar and as an F1 fan wanted to check timings and clashes. The only race which clashes with the F1 is the very 1st race of Road America clashing with the lights out of the Canadian F1 GP. Is there any chance the start time for the Road America race could be moved forward a couple of hours? This would allow people to both race and watch the F1 live.

It is merely a suggestion and whilst not the end of the world having to watch the race on record, I certainly prefer to watch them live with all the live timing etc.

This shouldn't be a problem guys. I will fill out all the paperwork and fax it off to head office. If you could send me any holiday requests and expenses ASAP then I can get it all sent off together. :lol:

1st Place - 25 Pts
2nd Place - 23 Pts
3rd Place - 21 Pts
4th Place - 19 Pts
5th Place - 17 Pts
6th Place - 15 Pts
7th Place - 13 Pts
8th Place - 11 Pts
9th Place - 9 Pts
10th Place- 7 Pts
11th Place- 6 Pts
12th Place- 5 Pts
13th Place- 4 Pts
14th Place- 3 Pts
15th Place- 2 Pts
16th Place- 1 Pts

How does that look?

It was this:

1st Place 25 Pts

The times shouldn't change, if people want to watch F1 instead of racing that's up to them. I would rather piss in the sink :D

Not enough point difference between the top few places IMO. Particularly 1 & 2. I thought we had decided on the F1 points system? That gives places down to 10 so only 6 won't score. I'm quite certain those people will score at some point in an online racing series.
 
Errr, wasn't it the fia system we had before? We had a vote on it and everything, and it was a clear winner.

It should have been
1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 4
9th - 2
10th - 1

If you want 16 we could do

1st - 32
2nd - 25
3rd - 23
4th - 19
5th - 17
6th - 15
7th - 12
8th - 10
9th - 8
10th - 7
11th - 6
12th - 5
13th - 4
14th - 3
15th - 2
16th - 1

If we want to do tier promotions and relegations then we will need to give points to all drivers (even 10th - 16th) to organise the drivers at the bottom of the table.

No, i didnt say i wont race, i said i agree with the problem of a clash, i have grown up as an f1 fan and it is the only sport that i follow, all that i ask is that if we are rcing during the f1 that nobody mentions anything regarding f1 because we will be recording the race to watch after.

My sentiments exactly. I will be recording no biggy. But I will have all voice chat off in race because there is always one.

If people cannot mute voice chat on headset. You can do in game. Lobby: R1, Scroll down or up to player. Press x. Press mute.

Same here, is just prefer to watch it live, but it's not a major issue.

One thing might be a good idea during the race is if people mute themselves until the want to say something, as there is nothing worse than hearing someone sawing at the wheel clickety clicking with background noise constantly.

Luckily I can turn down chat on my headphones, but that kind of defeats the object of having it a little, as when someone actually needs to announce something I'd miss it. I'm sure it will all be sorted by race start.

The Race is the same 2pm est. If F1 will get in the way for some in this Series. Maybe it's best to withdrawal from the Series
 
Why is everything on here taken so personally? We're not demanding that you move the time of the race, in fact it seems most people on here are just asking that no one says anything about the f1 while we're racing, because there's nothing worse than knowing the result of a race before you watch it.

Well i'm hearing a big patch is coming out for the PS4. So the Series may get pushed back. Some are having wheel issues. This patch could help most. Qualifying will not be pushed back. You can use your controller if you had to
 
Recording it is then. But the steward should talk to the drivers and tell everybody to talk race and not f1 ( pun intended )

Yeah I hope the patch will drop before the first race.
