It pops up when you get the 25 kills (though it can be much less of you have Hardline Pro on). Remember that Pointstreak rewards don't count towards the MOAB, only gun kills. I'm guessing that your Kept on getting PS rewards because the streak starts again after you reach your highest reward (e.g. You get a Reaper and you get 5 kills with it which then gets you a Predator. Then it all starts over again.) I'm guessing you might have gotten 15-20 actual gun kills and the other 30 or so were from your three Pointstreak rewards 👍

Don't worry if this don't make sense, it didn't make any for me as well :p

From what I've seen, the third Killstreak kills do not increment the Killstreak counter. So after getting the Reaper drone, I'd have to manually get at least 5 kills again. I'm guessing I was around 20 something kills, or close. I'm sure I'll get it eventually, as my KD and accuracy are continuing to climb as I am figuring out more and more about the maps and how people move on them.

It's pretty funny my accuracy is never good in FPS games.
And for the MOAB, don't count your kills it'll put you off. Once again I recommend Sabotage but whatever works out best for you.
I always found it quite easy to get a MOAB after I got OMA using Specialist. Getting a 9 kill streak with no proper killstreak rewards is really hard though.

I usually get the OMA setup at least once per match. And I have gotten multiple nukes in MW2. I kind of keep track so I know when I have to be more aggressive cause the match is getting close to ending.

Just prestiged though, so working on getting some gear back and perks pro'd again. Testing out the M4A1 at the moment along with some of the machine pistols I neglected last time through. Debating on using one my tokens to unlock the FAD early or not, quite like it but kind of want to see how I feel about some of the other weapons first.

What perks do you use?

In my opinion, Hardcore takes the least amount of skill. It's ridiculously easy to kill someone, and all you really need to do is find a spot and camp. With no radar and no kill cam, no one can tell where you are 90% of the time. That's not to say that there aren't tactical ways to play, but it's far too easy to do nothing and still dominate, much more so than in regular modes.

This is why I usually play objectives when playing Hardcore. More strategy comes into play. You don't get to foolishly walk out and take bullets and still get a kill.

I used a token on the FAD so that I could level it up and get the gold camo. Getting it at level 78 gives you no chance to do anything with it if you want to prestige. Now that I've prestiged a coupled times I am not going to bother doing it again. There's no real point to it unless you want some extra titles/badges. I would rather skip prestiging and work on leveling up the guns.

I don't play any more, moved back to GT5. I used to use Scavenger, Hardline and Stalker. I used Specialist with Assassin, Blind Eye and Dead Silence.
I used the Type 95 with rapid fire and silencer.

Noob question, but what's MOAB?

You get 25 gun kills and you get a bomb that kills everyone on the other team, and does kind of an emp after it goes off.

I got a MOAB yesterday.... On an infected match :D

I still haven't gotten one. I've tried and just can't get it together for one. When I run specialist i get the 8 kill specialist 2 or 3 times a game, and put together all kinds of 10 kill streaks, but 25 just seems out of my reach. I think my style is just to fast to get one. Almost every game I play I get marathon or whatever it's called for sprinting the most. When I try to slow down I just can't get enough kills to even come close to it.

Each game I start now I run specialist until my first 2 deaths or until my team gets behind to much and go for a MOAB, then I go back to assault killstreaks so I'm helping the team more. If I ever do get one I'm sure I won't even realize I'm as close as I am, because trying for one just seems to get in the way for me.

Got on for a quick two games, I go a combined 50-9 with 3 Reapers, 2 of them in one life! That is really good for me, if this was MW2 I think I would have had 3 or 4 Nukes by now.

I know I'd never be able to get one in the actual game, I don't actually try when I play since I only play with friends and were either distracted or just not caring. But on an infected match with dual Desert Eagles and an AA12 with scavenger...

I seem to be struggling with this game, my k/d is <1 and my highest Kill streak is IIRC 8.

I remember the good old days of COD4 where the juggernaut perk meant I didn't die so fast, so I was at least able to average 1.8 K/d :p

The big difference may be the fact I am playing it on PC whereas I used to play it on console. There are far too many of the 'go prone when you see someone' players who ruin my day, it's reminiscent of the time I had a go at Battlefield 2 at a mate's house.

I know custom class setup is down to individual preference, but does anybody have any advice as for what to go for? It's a lot faster paced than I was used to in MW1 and 2, moving around the outside of the map with an assault rifle just doesn't cut it anymore. At least melee range has been brought down to reasonable levels. I see a lot of people running around with dual machine pistols, are they the overpowered weapons in this game then?

Do the same thing :p

I hate how there are so many hypocritical people online. They run around with FMGs and Steady Aim, or 95s with Rapid Fire etc and then they rage when they see their killcam with me dropshotting them. Not my fault you can't aim down.

The only thing that annoys me about people going prone is that I tend to aim a bit lower than I'd like, just to address that. Would be nice if I could aim chest height, as my head shot rate would be a lot better.

As for more powerful weapons, the PP90M1 seems to be very, very popular and drops people stupid fast I feel. And is pretty accurate it seems. And thus I've refused to use it for the most part because it just seems like the new UMP.

Where exactly do you aim? :nervous:

And l o l to that in every FPS (except halo 3) that I've played I just shoot them wherever I'm not skilled enough to aim that good. :D

If you are level 60 the mk14 will work wonders with a quick trigger finger. I recommend slight of hand as the mags are small, as well as the silencer.

The MK14 is quite good at medium to long distances. The accuracy while hip firing though makes it a bit awkward at closer distances and indoors. Kind of why I started using the FAD and ACR over it. Still leave it on a class though, just because it is a nice quick 2 shot kill often.

The MP9 Machine Pistol is insane. I've been spending more time with it, sometimes akimbo, and you can more or less go beast mode in close quarters with it.

I don't have a problem close range, maybe because I shoot really quickly, but I do try to limit close encounters with people using those ungodly powerful fmg9 akimbo and smg classes

Could be why you are reloading more. I can usually drop 4 or 5 people per clip on the MK14.

As for the SMG and Machine Pistols classes, I feel a lot of their power is coming from the fact the current maps are tiny mazes of insanity, more or less. I've seen many, many people that only seem to use the Striker as well, because you can route through much of maps without exposing yourself to longer fire fights - the inside of Seatown comes to mind.

Yea I usually pick up a second weapon after 7-8 kills with it and I don't bother with specialist on it. I try to stay away from the tight inside of maps and skirt the outside with inward passes occasionally. It works quite well though I tend to be too aggressive and get killed a fair bit before a moab.

I have noticed that almost nobody uses a pistol, I tried one of the lower level (regular) pistols, I think the PP something or P something, and I think that they aren't that bad and are quite underrated, is there another reason for this or is everything really that much better than pistols (desert eagle excluded)

The pistols are kind of underpowered and with fast swaps from QuickDraw pro the fmg9 is the secondary if choice mostly. I however still use the usp. It's not bad.

The thing I really didn't like about the FMG9 is the folding stock, it takes to long to unfold, and I'd rather be using a better perk than fast swaps, I don't think I tried the USP, it's been awhile since I played
