Ok, whilst the Driving force pro is certianly the best wheel for GT4, it has one thing which dissapoints me a lot - slow countersteering speed. This has obviously been done for safety reasons, little kids getting arms trapped etc.
I was really looking forward to initiating a drift and letting the wheel spin through my hand and catch it at the right point. What actually happens is the wheel winds itself back at a stupidly slow pace, which is completely unrealistic and takes a lot of potential fun out of the game for me.
The thing is, i know it is possible for the DFP to perform much better. The wheel spins freely with no power on it, but the servo motors seem to be programmed to resist the return speed, or it has some other electronic brake on it to slow the speed it can turn.
Anyway, i going to try and mod my wheel insome way... if it is down to the programming of the servo motors, i doubt i would have any success as it would require some sort of firmware mod. If anyone has already tried something like this i would love to hear about it.
