Sorry for my abrupt departure,
It all started by first gaining places at the start when WIS took on simba and i slipped by getting a good knock on the way through .
Now with my rivals behind me i got my head down and started ticking the laps down , had a slight mishap later but still kept my place but now i have let simba in touching distance about 4 sec behind.
knowing simba has great composure over the distance he would be looking to close the gap, but i was staying strong and managed to hold the gap for many laps .
Only a few laps to go we closed up on the trailing cars , i am annoyed as i can bet myself i will have trouble ahead , yes getting to the hardest corner i catch up try not to hit him but keep some speed through the corner, didn't go as well as i would have liked and now simba is breathing down on me ,
Now i'm under pressure and i lose my concentration getting out of shape i lose it and simba floats by , FFS now i'm fighting to get back to track and try to get my place back, that i had comfy for 90% of the race .
pushing way to hard i just lose time corner after corner and follow simba over the line , so angry with myself i pushed the button and removed me from disappointment.

4th ain't so bad Rich but it does show the passion that the racing brings out.

I was on for a 5th but @rj5992 had got past me again near the end of the race. Mind you he does take short cuts. :mischievous: :P

I'm enjoying the current series @Sick Cylinder, both can provide fun racing in their different ways. 👍

Me too. I only hope he has a series planned for all of us in the Clip Cup cars. Tremendous fun to drive, in many ways more forgiving than the TCR cars, and always provide great racing.

While we're on this topic.

I'd love to race in a series that features only KTM X-Bow, Caterham and BAC Mono. Maybe another car or two of similar type for greater variety.

Does anyone else find them interesting?

Hi ILIV - I am currently finalising plans for 2020 - there will be plenty of variety including single seaters, le mans and saloons. I have thought about some of the trackday cars - I favour the ones with race numbers - if there isn't room to squeeze them into 2020, then they will definitely feature in 2021!

Ah, nice! Better sooner than later though! :D

Any room for Monday's fun at Brands GP[/USER]

I am expecting a few spaces - it was only round 1 that was over subscribed! Please use Renault number 66.

All Drivers Please Note - Brands Hatch GP is a wet round - setting courtesy of "Weather Guru" @IfAndOr

Note - Monday will start wet then ease off, but not get fully dry so you won't need to change tyres (the game will start you on wets).

Note - Wednesday will start dry then rain, but not get fully wet so you shouldn't need to change tyres.

@HammyMansell - recently there has been more room on Wednesday's - a lot of fun - Historic Escort's v Mustang's (multi-class) - let me know if you want to try that!

I'll add you shouldn't need to change tyres. If you're careful with them and maybe cool them with a bit of standing water towards the end of the race they'll last. For extra grip you can of coarse always stop and fit slicks at any point but then you'll lose time on those not pitting! Hmm tactics.

I can imagine it'll be interesting, especially as to how competitive the BMW's will be. I'm guessing they'll be unwieldy in the wet with their rear drive but will be able to push harder on a drying track due to the front tyres not doing everything. Are any of the TC's 4WD?

No worries mate, this Wednesday I'm busy, but the following one I will be around I'm sure...........I'll keep my eyes on here for news, thanks! ;)

I did a couple of test races and against the AI the BMW got less competitive after the rain stopped - it seemed to be better in wet conditions - the wet tyres seemed to offer plenty of grip (offline). I am not sure what will happen in a race against real people online - I know the simplified tyre model used by the AI can produce odd results - in theory it should be as you suggest, however the BMW has less power and slower drivers in our series - driver skill will probably be the biggest factor!

@John Wells - please don't forget to invite @HammyMansell to the practise room!

If you're careful with them
I didn't follow my own advice and started to shred them early on. :P All in the pursuit of fun though.

The rain ended a little bit earlier than intended (that's the slight randomness built into the weather system) so the track got just a bit drier. But a bit of uncertainty is good and it seemed to work out OK though. I did think of swapping to slicks but I was too busy chasing @Napalm_LT to stop.

I do have a pair of hardly worn rear tyres for sale - I've got to buy some new wiper blades.

Hurricane next Monday then?

Hi guys, hi @Sick Cylinder,

I'm on vacation starting today, so unfortunately I will miss the next three races: this and next Wednesday, as well as Monday :yuck: So @IfAndOr and @Don Mejillone have to hold up team honors!

For the same reason, there will not be my usual write up, which is kinda unfortunate, because there was a lot going on during my race. I still prepared the replay, so you can check it out. Just imagine me mumbling random driver and corner names in your ear while you do so ;)
