Do you want to get better at racing in Gran Turismo?

That seems like a simple question, but for about 100 Planet readers per day who look at our challenges now, it goes unanswered.

Have you stopped racing in Sport Mode? Why? Too rough? Don't feel comfortable racing other players on-line? You are a new driver and not sure about racing with others?

This is why Monday Night Racing is here. To help drivers improve. To help you! Read the testimonials in the top post. Our lobbies are safe for drivers who shy away from most Custom lobbies. The lobby and race settings weed out careless drivers, so you should have full confidence that you won't get punted off of the track. No super grippy tires, only one driver aid (brake balance), no Boost. Any track aid, such as driving line or map pins will help you learn tracks better. Stick with us and you will improve.

We all race the same car under the same conditions, but we can tune the cars to make them handle better. There is no reason to expect different performance from different cars mixed together because they are all the same car. That is an important distinction from most on-line races. They are not BoPed, though. All new content gets used as soon as it can be fitted into our schedule, so if you want to safely experience new content, join us. If it is in the game, it is fair game.

We use lots of repetition to help us learn each car and track better. These are not quickie mad dashes for a finishline, either. The races let you get familiar with the cars and tracks, so that you have time to develop your driving style, to settle in and get comfortable, to learn technique, to learn corners, to learn from others, to learn about ourselves.

Monday Night Racing is not your average on-line group. It takes many hours of planning, usually 4-6 hours each week, to get the settings right, to challenge us but not make it onerous. Serious fun. We all earn our place at the finish and we all make mistakes. The races are as fair as I know how to make them in GT, the rest is up to us.

So, I will ask again. Do you want to get better at racing in Gran Turismo?

If your answer is yes, then I would love to have you join us, so that you could challenge yourself and us. All skill levels are welcome.

Read the top post again for more details.

That was a challenging night of racing! Had to think, eh?

We will be dealing with new cars next, so I look forward to new drivers checking out our not so easy races. 😉
